    His grandfather Frederick changed the family name......in the 1600's their name was drumpf.....changed later to Trumpf and when he started real estate biz in New York he anglicized it to Trump so as not to chase away Jewish clients....he lied to them saying they were Swedish knowing Germans weren't popular with the Jewish community.....passed on to his offspring, lying is in their DNA as long as it generates profits

    It's working out just fine in many respects. That may not last, as the next step in sabotaging the nation just to get rid of him will be to sink the economy. Seen that before (and it didn't work).

    He's had zero chance to build public trust and unite the nation. Any attempts he's made are ridiculed 24/7, warranted or not.

    You seem to have adopted hate. How is that working out for you?

    Seriously??? Seriously??? Give concrete examples of when and where he has tried to "build public trust and unite the nation". As @riverman (amongst many others) has pointed out, the man blatantly lies, he pushes agendas that inflame, rather than unite the country. He represents no more than one third of this country. Do you really, REALLY think that guys like me and the other Trump haters are so stupid we fall for the "news" media on either side of the story???? My opinions about the guy have been informed over the last 30+ years of the guy's existence. My opinions are formed by the word's out of the guy's very own mouth. Words that have not been twisted or put there by other parties (unless every frickin' network in the world is part of some humongous conspiracy that shares doctored tweets or debate and news conference footage. You apparently believe the anti Trump movement is some kind of "deep state" conspiracy, and if that keeps you warm at night and trolling this forum, so be it. Some of us know in our hearts that this guy is the foot on the accelerator of America's headlong rush towards irrelevance.......and from where I stand, the evidence is far more convincing for that opinion than the one you keep trying to sell us.

    the fall harvest and enrollment in college alone is going to have a negative impact....every farmer and small college town business owner will feel the brunt of anti foreigner projections from Trump's camp.....his pissing off the world and putting agricultural labor force into a tail spin is going to hurt...book it.

    He called for unity on multiple occasions, and even called on Democrats to work with the Republicans to get things done.

    bullshit I wish......I wish my Taiwanese nieces and nephews were coming to stay with us and enrolling in OSU....they are genuinely afraid to come here now and will study in Melbourne instead.....WINNING!!!!! I know many business owners in Corvalis are already seeing their consumer base drop off....Trump has made America dangerous again in the eyes of many......and just see how many young americans go out to pick lettuce this fall for minimum wage! Good times eh? Wake up man......reality is happening all around you and it's pretty fucking far from my wishes..my elderly inlaws could not come live with us because they could not pass the English language test....stupid fucking prejudice abounds!

    How about you criticize his policies and actions instead of blind hateful ranting?

    We can agree his immigration policies are hurting real people, and lots of them. It's not being done out of hate or even ignorance, though. The unemployment rate has declined and wages are up - as he predicted.
