he basically called them idiots, 'do they know the game.. 'do they understand what we are fighting for.. from my vantage point, joe's saying that the tigers suck, and we are PS bound, what is it you "umps" don't get ? 'it was poorly handled he said, and if they warned the first, i believe it was sanchez who was hit, , none of the rest would have happened..... he was more animated about this situation then ever before said one of the commentators.... girardi also flat out accused the first hit batter as it was done purposely.. and he went on to say the asmus told one of his players F U...... he went off!!!

The home plate umpire didn't have a clue. Even after everything that occurred still stood there like an idiot after Frasier was hit. Absolutely a disgrace job and those idiots in that crew shouldn't even sniff a playoff assignment this year.

Excuses in sports are meaningless. Unfortunately, HPU was rookie Carlos Torres and should not be given any wiggle room. The Crew chief of this
group was Dana Demuth, the 1B Umpire. If the any one of the four umpires had warned Fullmer & Detroit manager, Ausmus, when Fullmer hit
Sanchez, none of the fights would have occurred. It is the primary responsibility of the home plate ump to make the call.......he did not. So, when
Cabrera got hit, HPU immediately tossed Yankee pitcher without any warning. And Fullmer who started this mess, stayed in the game. Not only
that.............if this crew had checked the history between these two teams, they would have seen that Fullmer has a history for hitting Yankee
batters. Yes, HPU reacted instead of taking action with the first hit batter( Sanchez). ..................a job poorly done.

Yup, previously some Tigers were hit which resulted in Fulmer hitting Ellsbury in New York. That should've been the end of it. Despite their checking on an injury acting performance afterwards it's evident to anybody with even one eyes that Sanchez was hit on purpose after hitting his fourth homer of the series. A warning clearly should've been issued there. To them immediately throw out a Yankee pitcher when no warnings were giving is complete incompetence. Moving forwards the Yankees come out losers in all of this with several suspensions that are probably going to come their way.

Sanchez actually did it twice to two different Tigers while they were down on the ground. Not smart and not good.

MLB Post Game assessments by Amsinger & Reynolds were ridiculous on their own, now factor in headhunter Pedro and it really got out of line. Could not watch much of their program, all talking like expert witnesses who were on site when it happened. Best thing for the Yankees to do is lick their wounds, take what MLB actions will dish out, and stay cool from this point.
