Is it already clear that the country elected the most incompetent President in our history?

I understand a good number of Republican's will defend Trump regardless. I've been talking to some of the Republican friends and family in my life and a lot of them just bring up Hilary. Another few have admitted Trump is a piece of shit.

Why is this dolt worried more about his crowd size than helping the people in Texas?

I would change "incompetent" to egotistical. Surely, there was a past POTUS that was worthless like Andrew Johnson, Pierce or Tyler.

I do wonder what an Andrew Jackson presidency would have been like had twitter existed 200 years ago. How many duels would he have challenged people to by this point in his tenure?

Obama's "new normal" had mainstream economists saying 3% GDP growth is near impossible and certainly unlikely.

Granted this is only what's happened in his first 6 months where he's done "nothing," but whatever that "nothing" happens to be, it's working. He absolutely has used executive orders to improve the climate for business.

Sometimes "nothing" actually works better than trying to be proactive.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/30/us-revised-second-quarter-gdp.html

US revised second-quarter GDP up 3.0% vs 2.7% rise expected
    • The U.S. economy grew faster than initially thought in the second quarter, notching its quickest pace in more than two years.
    • There are signs that the momentum was sustained at the start of the third quarter.
    • Gross domestic product increased at a 3.0 percent annual rate in the April-June period, the Commerce Department said
    ...

Republican President Donald Trump has set an ambitious 3.0 percent growth target for 2017, to be achieved through a mix of tax cuts, deregulation and infrastructure spending.

The Trump administration has so far failed to pass any economic legislation and is yet to articulate plans for tax reform and infrastructure. Chances are slim that the Republican-controlled U.S. Congress will debate and pass tax reform legislation before the end of the year.

So far, the political gridlock in Washington has not hurt either business or consumer confidence.

It's almost as if he's a dyed in the wool Trump defender or something.

It is beyond ridiculous how people constantly attack Trump. You're complaining about his "supposed" indifference to the catastrophe in Houston yet the federal response to the disaster has been excellent according to most reports. What do you want him to do? Cry on TV? It doesn't matter what he does since liberals will complain regardless.

Duh. Trump should have fast tracked a keystone pipeline type project to pump the water out and had it completed before Harvey made landfall.

The only reason he didn't is because there are a lot of black people in Houston.

It's beyond ridiculous how Trump constantly attacks americans....fact...he's campaigned by insult and governed by insult......called people toxic, sad, crooked, sick, etc....he has a small cult of white conservative men who cheer him on...and also want to insult people...that's what we're stuck with....Trump has not earned one spoon of trust from our allies or over half the population, let alone his own cabinet which has quit or been fired since he took oath...face it....he doesn't have the skills to lead anybody...his whole schpiel is to campaign and talk about his crowds size....fuck him..he's done nothing to instill trust and is horrible at diplomacy....doesn't understand the concept...snake oil salesman...reality TV hack...that's what Trump is..and he's not changing. I couldn't stand the guy in the 70s and I still can't stand him....that's a fact..he's a divisive son of a bitch

That is just complete bullshit. He insults people after they have insulted him. And so far he has been great for the economy.

Address the point. How has Trump failed miserably in the Harvey relief situation?

The point isn't that you hate him, got that. The point is that the TDS sufferers can't seem to judge anything fairly.

People are apoplectic about a tweet thanking the people. Say Trump made this disaster about himself. Those types are delusional, maybe even mentally ill.

The context of 3% GDP needs to be understood.

I can't help it if Obama did things as president.

    Obama's BLS, posted in 2013:

    https://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2013/article/the-u-s-economy-to-2022-settling-into-a-new-normal-1.htm

The U.S. economy to 2022: settling into a new normal
No one could have predicted the length of time that the economy has required to recover. A variety of economic headwinds have battered the recovery, causing output growth to be somewhat slower than was expected in prior projections. Over the coming decade, growth is expected to be gradual but persistent, bringing the unemployment rate down and returning the macroeconomy to a more stable position.

    ...

Moving forward, there are reasons to believe that growth will continue to be slower than was originally hoped. Annual U.S. GDP growth exceeding 3.0 percent, as experienced in the mid- to late 1990s and mid-2000s, is not expected to be attainable over the coming decade.
