    I think the only thing that truly hurts teams is taking away draft picks. Didn't Minny get completely crushed by the league for something that had to do with Joe Smith back in the day?

    So the NBA has basically established that you can recruit other team's players for $500k. For top players, that's probably perfectly worthwhile.
