totally the X factor this season...gotta tackle somebody sometimes. I hope they get some bigger linemen too...we always look small up front against a team like Alabama..

Stanford is going to be a beast...they put up something like 61 pts tonight in a blowout...Washington, USC and Stanford are to me the toughest matchups in the Pac12 but that's only because I have no idea what the Ducks will look like.

Portland State scored in less than 2 minutes against your defense.

If I was a Beaver's fan I would not feel confidant right now. The only reason they even have the lead is because their kicker whiffed on the extra point. The defense can't even stop PSU on fourth down!

Look at that. The defense did something positive. Good for them.

    Honest question.

How can you root for a team based out of Seattle, yet live in the Portland metro area.

I don't get it with Seahawks or Mariners fans.

Seriously fuck Seattle and fuck Washington.

And yes, I know OSU looks like a fat chicks ass that hasnt showered in months.

Confidence and Beaver fan are words that rarely go together. I don't think I know any Beaver fan (who is a fan not currently going to the university) who would ever associate "confidence" with being a fan of the team.

I liked watching Warren Moon playing when I was a kid and where I live isn't a factor on who I chose to root for.

    Are you a local?

I could never root for any team associated with Washington. My college roommate lived in Seattle for 8 years before getting a promotion and moving to San Diego.

I hate Seattle and their pretentiousness to Portland.

Gotcha. Just curious. It's always intetesting to me how people become fans of teams.

For instance, i'm an oakland raiders fan because my dad was and I have watches them since I was a kid.

I grew up a Ducks fan, then went to OSU. And after my junior year I could no longer stand the Ducks fans bandwagonerry and assholeness when they came to town. If you arent and asshole or bandwagon fan of the ducks then respect.

Wshington i didnt care about. Until they were assholes when I went to a game in seattle.

    I hate seattle.

My aunts when I was little tried to dress me up in ducks and beavers clothes to convert me but I liked the Huskies. I like the team but wouldn't ever consider living in Seattle. I like Vancouver. I chose my teams as a kid because of players I liked watching. Not because of who my dad's favorite teams were or anything like that.

Nothing wrong with being a fan of a NW franchise....you're lucky to grow up in Oregon and have a pro team....where I grew up in Iowa.....everybody had different teams to root for.some for Kansas City, some for Minneapolis, some for Denver, some for Chicago, Milwaukee, Indiana....no big deal....plenty of Oregonians live and work in Washington for whatever reasons....doesn't make them pretentious assholes though...although some may be...I follow the Mariners because my client at work watches every game....it's good converstation to me....I've had many baseball teams as favorites over the years...doesn't define me though....I'm an Oregon fan across the board but living in Lane county it's true Duck fans can be insufferable..
