You are my svengali - we just watched it, and it was indeed gripping (and infuriating!) I hope Grigory's okay...
I agree it was a good movie not worthy for the Oscars, but it is worth a watch with a damned good actor in Michael Keaton. You should try watching one of his earlier comedies, The Dream Team. He's in the movie along with Christopher Lloyd and Peter Boyle. A movie about 4 lunatics on the loose in New York City trying to save their doctor. You'll enjoy it! I watched another movie, Under Sandet (Land of Mine), while on a plane to China. It's well written and simply one of the better movies I've seen in quite some time. It's a foreign movie made in Denmark and Germany. Movie Synopsis from IMDB.com
I forgot about that movie! I think it was the movie showing on my first ever flight to the US (coming to Grad School). Weird movie. Felt like a fever dream, but that might've been the time change...
Lucky Logan - OK, how many stereotypes of poor white Southerners can you jam into a 2 hour movie? Find out in Lucky Logan! The Hitman's Bodyguard - Meh, Ryan Reynolds just remade Safe House as a comedy. Samuel L. Jackson should have called Guinness to count how many times he said MF in this one. Definitely a motherfuckin' record.
a stuntman was killed on the set of deadpool 2. I didnt even know they were making a second. Now I cant wait.
"The Defiant Ones" documentary on HBO of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine was awesome! Great music and tons of superstar musicians. Plus it relived music/stories of my childhood. A couple guys who just grinded and grinded to get where they are at.
Was it good? My wife's going to hate me. She kept wanting to see it and I'm like, there's 3% popcorn on Rotten Tomatoes or whatever.
Well fuck, we thought cops were racist for being afraid of black people. Turns out they're just pussies.
Can't be a coincidence that IT is coming out in 2 days....I will be going to see it...and not because they are tying balloons to sewer grates to scare the crap out of people for extra publicity...well maybe.
