I don't know if it is good or not. I know it makes ME want to jam pencils in my ears but that doesn't mean it is bad. I just liked your post because you said it. He doesn't need everyone to kiss his ass, HCP has it covered.
I guess this is more for your generation, because I think the rap of the 90s makes the current rap look like a bunch of pop music.
"Why did I name the album CONFIRMED? One of the definitions of confirmed is "fixed in habit and unlikely to change." I named the album that because there's always been something said about me spending time in the studio, even though I've always shown up and produced for my team every night. I've never had issues with stardom. I'm also not new to music. I've always created music while playing at every level of basketball. But now this is no longer an experiment. This is my second album. I'm putting out respectable music yearly. I've invested in that. I'm settled in. I don't feel the need to answer questions or address concerns. This is who I am and what I do. -- Inspiration behind the album cover? I wanted the cover to pay homage to some of my favorite artists. Crown: Biggie Prayer hands: PAC Gold rope and Rolex: Nas Highlighting my chest tattoo: for the art culture and community in Oakland." I'm not of the right generation to appreciate rap music much. I don't care to listen to it and don't really have an opinion as to whether something in that genre is good or bad. I do respect Dame for his continued dedication and hard work on something that matters to him.
How old are you? You said you aren't of the right generation. Just curious. I think hip hop and the whole vibe isn't a generational thing, I think it's cultural. How or where you grew up and with who.
Meh. I can't stand Autotune. It's NOT talkbox and once it's used it disqualifies anything that's said. That's just me.
I've made a 80+ year old man cry in admiration of one of my raps. He's Italian and a survivor of the Great Depression. #Truth.
Ha! Like that’s special. Most rap music makes me want to cry. J/K. I’ll give it a listen if the opportunity arises.
The only music I don't/won't listen to is modern country. Dad raised me on rock n roll, blues and jazz old school country......mom raised me on R&B..... Funny thing is, I've pulled up to my kids school blaring anything from Rage Against the Machine to Thelonius Monk to Drake....... I do it all. Wife just has to remind me to turn it down sometimes.
Same here. I love music from every spectrum. Just not the new country bullshit. As Dead Prez wrote: If I feel it I feel If I don't, I don't If it ain't really Then I probably won't
