I'm going to merge this with the Around the NBA for 2 reasons:

There is no link to the blazers

    and

I've seen mention of multiple teams in a way that would best fit the Around the NBA thread.

I'm not sure @KingSpeed will be able to see this thread since @HCP created it.

Lakers have some talent, but they're not going to be beating many western conference teams.
I don't even think I'd favor the Lakers against the Kings or Suns.
Highly doubt the Lakers are a 30 win team in the West.

I agree with you. They don't belong in the list with the Bulls, Hawks and Magic.

Have you watched them in the preseason? They haven't been competitive at all. Absolutely zero defense.

Why are Olshey and Stotts putting together the Laker roster?

What you are saying is that LMA left not because of Dame, but because of Meyers?

It might be interesting to see someone with good footwork like Collins, guard LA. Collins length and speed could bother LA enough to frustrate him. He is 19 however and will have a steep learning curve this year.

Dunno where exactly he was thin skinned. He voiced his concerns to the coach instead of the media (a change from previous years), and pretty much said he would understand if he got traded.

The guy jumped ship on us, so I totally get the vitriol spewed at him at times... but that article (With probably a bit of spin, of course) made it seem as though he was frustrated being under-utilized.

Meyers problem is that he knows he sucked and keeps telling us he's not going to anymore, but he keeps doing it anyway. LMA is saying "Hey, I can help out more, and I got the skills to do it." And Pop said "Hey, yeah, you're right. Lets fix it." A more collaborative effort.

I never worried about Aldridge running the floor here. That was one of his strengths.

Ya no shit they didn't feed you the ball to dribble for 10 seconds in every possession before jacking a fadeaway 18' jumper.

They had a top 3 MVP candidate on their team who had his best season yet with the ball in his hands.

It's all about himself. No mention at all about team and doing whatever it takes to win.
