No way are owners going to give up that prime seat realestate.

There’d be more front row seats.

Just so you know, the world record long jump is 29ft 4in. I'm almost certain someone like Greek Freak could work on a fast break 3 point finger roll of sorts.

So again, play has stopped... It's still not real time and it takes too long. You're still looking at replays of the past. Cameras only help after the play is called. What you don't seem to be understanding is the play needs to be called in real time, by one referee. Answer this:

When the Lead official (baseline) is looking at aplayers feet who is not coming from his primary area, who's watching the crime in the paint?

    Don't answer that I will.

    No one that's who.

As a referee, the restricted line is used to monitor the defense not the offense.

It just wouldn't work and referees would have to come completely overhaul their primaries.

Right. Because front row seats are the same price as the nose bleed ones.

Raising the basket is foolish imo. Think of the children.

We can use the cameras to raise and lower the basket based on the color of the person shooting.

You need to start making better sense Denny.

This is a kids game. They have to use a lighter ball until 7th grade. Making this children's game harder for the children is just silly.

11 foot rims is jumping the shark.

The kids here play on courts (and playgrounds) that are smaller and the baskets aren’t even 10’.

    So what is the problem?

Damn, Denny is trying to make basketball like healthcare.

Only rich white people get the industry standard.

Not my kid. Not most kids. If you're in 3rd grade and up, playing competitively, you practice and play on 10s. It's hard enough for a 5th grader to shoot on a 10 with a regulation ball.

It sounds like you're assuming that the players who play today would continue to play under these rules - I very much doubt it. DeAndre Jordan and many other poor FT shooters would simply be out of the league - teams would make it so that there was no one to foul.

Make it a 15 foot hoop. Players nowadays are getting up way too easy!

Raise the basket in the NBA. I didn't talk about raising it anywhere else.

No offense but this is a dumb idea. If I wanted this sort of action I’d watch the WNBA. Why would you want to turn the NBA into that?

    It wouldn't be the WNBA.

The bigs inside wouldn't be able to goal tend as easily. Getting inside shots would mean a lot more because they're truly higher percentage shots.

The basket was 10' when starting PFs were 6'5", and it was fine. Now that your SG's are 6'9", everything about the game has gotten bigger except for the height of the basket and size of the court.

I've thought the basket should be raised since the 1980s, and there were plenty of back to the basket/post PFs and Cs in those days. And the 3pt shot.

As the game is now, it's pass around the perimeter and try to get your 3pt shooting guy picked onto a lesser defender and hoist up long shots.
