I don't call for a surrender as Obama did.

    I wrote:

If Trump really wanted to honor our military, he'd get us out of those combat situations (like he promised) without surrendering the gains we made at the cost of injured and killed military personnel.

The USS McCain had 10 sailors killed as well.
7 MARSOC Marines killed in a KC-130 crash.

I used this at SOCOM to keep up to date with "cleared" info: http://www.sof.news/tag/casualties/

Not to sound callous, and I haven't read what the President did or did not say, but every one of those operators would tell you three things:
    1) "We signed up for the tough missions like this"
    2) "I'll take my chances against anyone, any day of the week."
    3) "We expect the best in training, discipline and equipment b/c if we mess up, guys don't come home, because of #1 and #2"

    Thanks, Brian.

I would think that increasing our force/presence in Afghanistan would only increase the chances our guys get into bad situations.

I couldn't find stats on servicemen who are killed here in the US on base, in accidents (like getting hit by a jeep). I'm sure there's a few of those, sadly.

I agree with Denny, we're a nation of snowflakes, it's wrong to show the cost and sacrifice of war. We need to hide that so we don't upset people. Showing coffins only shows that people might die. We should show only the positive happy fun time things about war.

We need more shows like Hogan's Heros and Gomer Pyle. They never showed death on there, only fun things.

(Liberal tweeters politicizing a woman's grief on never seeing her loved one again.)

But one of the great things about the military (at least, for me, can't speak for everyone) is that, inside that coffin is a brother/sister, whether that person looks like me or dviss's cousin or HCP or crandc. They earned that flag, they earned the honors, and they earned the benefits that come with giving Uncle Sam a blank check on their life.

Why is she only crying for her loved one? Why isn't she crying for all loved ones lost? Don't all lives lost matter?

Seems tome both are true, Trump was callous and people are using that to make a point about Trump.

It’s becoming a pattern though, Disrescting McCain saying he likes his war hero’s not to be caught. The khan family incident and now this one.

This incident may be minuscule but the pattern isn’t. The pattern shows lack of empathy for those who give their lives for our nation. That worries me regarding future engagements. Are military members just pawns in his game or actual people doing something noble which should be protected and minimized.

we've always been pawns. We're literally Constitutionally stopped from being much more. Yet there was always a faith that blood wouldn't be shed without a good reason, that we'd be trained and equipped to win, and that someone would always come for us if we got in trouble.
The first died in Vietnam, if not Korea. The second died when social engineering overruled mission accomplishment, and Benghazi was a mark against the third. Y'all don't need to be worried about what Hillary or Obama did around Benghazi, you need to be worried that people like me but younger are going to look at stuff like that and say "why TF would I sign up for something that gets crapped on by much of the media and liberal elite (I'm looking at John Kerry, not HCP), run by people who have not served and have no clue what the military is or does, and is used as a glorified and captive petri dish for every social engineering experiment coming down the pike. If we are not being allowed to fight the way we can and defeat Afghans and Somalis, why would I want to write a blank check to this country just to get clobbered by someone a bit more near-peer?"

Lets take a look at what , according to the Dem Rep in Florida said.

She quoted President Trump as saying "He knew what he signed up for, but it hurts when it happens"

Fact: The guy signed up for a special mission. Fact: The guy was highly trained. Fact: Everyone that is sent to harms way, often do not come home.

Your allegation that President Trump "pattern shows lack of empathy for those who give their lives for our nation" has been proven untrue by his actions toward those in uniform.

You have never been in the military. You are not qualified to speak on my behalf or anyone currently inn uniform, on how it will effect there performance on future missions.

As far as McCain, I doubt that you will find support among many who have and still are in uniform.
