I like that, but I don't see Phoenix going for it.

Also: I kinda want to see how the current situation plays out. Turner, Aminu, Patty and Harkless are all playing great, so why rock the boat right now?

Seriously, unless we're trading for a star, why are we even talking about a trade right now?

Cool, let's find a way to get Courtney Lee, Phoenix don't need him and I don't see how the trade would work without him in it.

Because we need money to make salaries match, and frankly he has been less valuable than Aminu or Davis, who are also usually included in trade scenarios. To acquire star players, you need young players and you need money to make the contracts match. Harkless is a young player with a somewhat large contract. That's why he's usually included.

In the end Phoenix will probably settle the way the Knicks did for Melo, just to get it over with.

Honestly, I'm not unhappy with our guard play. I still want a real threat at the small forward spot. I feel like that's our one hole. If we had somehow acquired PG13, I think this team would be a title contender.

    Meyers/Vonleh to PHX
    Lee/O'Quinn to PDX
    Bledsoe to NYC

It works money wise... but I don't know if we'd have the minutes for O'Quinn. Here's the thing though, O'Quinn has another year left on this contract after this one. Ed Davis, who has been playing out of his mind, is a free agent this summer. If we could replace Davis' production, I seriously think we should look at trading him. There's no way we can afford Davis AND Nurk this summer.

How much do you think he'll command on the market?

Davis is pretty much playing himself into Plumlee territory. Remember how Plumlee was playing his best ball of his Blazer career when we shipped him out.

Considering his versatility, 10m seems like a decent starting point.

And Vonleh is a FA too. And Napier!

Some of these guys will have to go.

I used to feel like I had a good grasp on free agency... but I have no idea anymore. The swing up and down on the contracts the past two summers has made it so hard to look at a guy and say "he's getting x amount of dollars." I was pretty close on how much I predicted for Crabbe, but last summer all the teams locked up their money. I have no idea what will happen this summer. But if Davis keeps it up, he currently has a PER of 27. He's usually an excellent guy off the bench. I'm not even sure who has money this year.

I believe as it stands now there won't even be ten teams with cap space next summer. That actually makes pending RFAs more valuable, so guys like Vonleh and Napier could be moved.

I actually would like to keep Napier.

Vonleh... I just don't think he has a future here. I like Biggie and Collins more, and it's not based on physical talent. I think Vonleh is just as talented as those guys. It's all about mentality. I see zero hesitation when Biggie and Collins get the ball. Vonleh looks scared to shoot. I think Collins is the PFotF. I think Biggie is a great backup. I just don't see much room for Vonleh.
