With Bledsoe, maybe CJ or Lillard sacrifice some minutes as well. I'm sure they wouldn't mind, they have so much responsibility anyway. Both guys seem to welcome playing off the ball, don't see why they'd have an issue with a couple fewer minutes. For example, CJ wouldn't play as much with the second unit. He'd get to save his energy for the second half of games.
Another thing, Bledsoe didn't just get put on the block today. If the Suns were getting good offers, he probably would've been gone by now. Don't see why any team would all of a sudden decide to sweeten their proposals just because Phoenix has increased their urgency. It's not like the Suns have leverage. They'll probably have to settle if they want him off the team. I'd be surprised if the package they got was anything close to what people would deem "acceptable." What I'm saying is I can't wait to hear Blazers fans come with the "we could've beat that offer thanks Neil!" Shit it might come from me.
question; is Bledsoe really any better than the Evan Turner we are seeing "so far" this year? and given his size I'd suggest Turners D more valuable as he cab guard multiple positions, do we really need him?
If we had him would he help to wear out the defense of all the amazing guards in the league? I wouldn't want to give the kitchen sink for him but if the deal was right he could really help us win some games.
Bledsoe is better than every Blazer except Damian and CJ and if Nurkic doesn’t pull his head out he might be better than Nurk. The fact that pat c is being brought up is funny.
Man it’s too bad Bledsoe can’t play large minutes as the 2 guard next to Dame or this could REALLY open up some future trade possibilities.
The question is when is Bledsoe going to pull his head out? When he plays really hard on D he is very very effective even if his shooting is sub par. But if he doesn't play hard then he hurts his team IMO. Guys like ET....always play hard.
We already have Evan Turner doing a much better job at that. And it's nice to have ONE guard who's not undersized.
These are the three trades I can see happening: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y73o4rge http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ycq9kpkv http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ybu2oudy And the best we could offer: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y6u249za But considering the package SAC got for Cousins, it may be enough in today's age of trades.
Bledsoe plays much bigger than his size. He's a tank. The theoretical second unit would be Bledsoe/CJ/Turner/PF/Davis. I don't see the problem? Only issue would be Bledsoe's acceptance of role.
He played an entire season at the two guard when they had Dragic.... but he's only 6'1, so I don't know.
I don't see why he couldn't play next to dame, he's a much better defender than CJ despite being shorter.
