We went through a spell of working through all the Toho Studios Kaiju movies when my older kid was younger and I've got to say that the original Godzilla (Gojira) is pretty awesome (with one of the all-time great soundtracks), but my favorite of the less-horrific ones is Mothra. That whole backstory with the two little fairies who call her, and the "Moth-uh-raAH" song - bizarrely great.

    Some issues there, methinks.

A deranged masterpiece. Based on the italian comic strip Dylan Dog, whose creator actually based the look of his character on Rupert Everett, so them casting him in the movie was pretty much perfect.

I must try again with Argento. Wasn't grabbed by Suspiria and gave up on it.

One of those movies I'm scared to watch. Funny to see Michael Rooker now appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

    Another of those movies.

Gay icon. But again, the movie sounds like it's too much about the psychology of a depressed parent, which I will avoid. Not as much as We Need To Talk About Kevin, though. Being a parent closes off a lot of movies, I think.

So many people love The Thing. I think it's by far and away Carpenter's best movie, and possibly Russell's too. Carpenter has a tendency to lapse into camp (especially in Escape From New York, which is good, and Big Trouble In Little China, which I do NOT like, seemingly alone in the world) which he completely avoids here. The gonzo special effects help too, of course. And that dog at the beginning is SUPER creepy.

    GNA!

Also my favorite snow globe movie of all time.

In spite of some obvious low budget limitations, I found the atmosphere to have that rare feeling of a genuine encounter with the uncanny. Just like 'The Shining'. And that Goblin score is creepy as hell.

The original Creepshow had it's great parts. Mainly the little beast in a box.

No and Thank God HCP hasn't released his honeymoon video. Didn't tag him because I think he'll find his name anyway.

I figured he should have at least had an old points distributor laying around for the Mustang. At least they didn't wreck tons of them making the movie.

Puppet Master anyone? First time watching I was 10 or 11 and even then it kinda made me paranoid about some little murderous doll waiting for me upon opening a closet door or something.
