I know different folks here get their news from very different sources.

Personally, I read from varied sources and when something perks my interest I usually search and read the same story from several sources if possible

I tend to trust the NYT, BBC the most. ABC seems fair.

CNN and MSNBC both heavily lean left but I read anyways and MSNBC I think has a lot of excellent yet tilted coverage.

I’ll watch FOX for amusement but never trust a single word.

I just look to see what Denny says, because the opposite is 99% likely to be true.

I trust all media to lie to further their agendas, so it's just a matter of listening to everyone's lies, and knowing their agendas so you understand what they're lying about.

Lies by omission (refusal to cover the story) are the most telling.

You literally just have to dig for complete quotes or transcripts, regardless of the sources' political leanings. It mostly depends on who is being smeared. If it's a Republican, then all you will get from leftist media is small snippets that are out of context. And vice versa. But let's be real, Trump is generally the target of all the smearing now, so the leftist media has gone batshit with a loose definition of what a "quote" is supposed to be.

I a subject interests me I'll read multiple articles from AP feeds or periodicals I enjoy....trust my gut...understand that it's like when I walked through the Nelson Rockefeller Art Gallery in the 70s.....I saw thousands of works but I'd only consider a dozen pieces to hang on my wall at home...if the AP feed says 200 died in N Korea at the launch site.....I tend to believe it.....if it says coffee is bad for me....I don't

I dont watch any news programs... if it comes up on my facebook or twitter, ill research it to make sure how legit it is.

When it comes to Trump, it's all true, because he's given himself no benefit of the doubt. That's my take on it.

Denny, no need to reply. No one will ever change my view on Trump. I knew he was bad before the media did.

I just read s2 and hear about stuff when people talk about it. I quit giving a fuck about media after they tried so hard to push 9/11. I got woke. Now i just live life and ignore all the brain washing, unless of course i have the opportunity to upset someone who's being a little too emotional. That's my true muse.

My criticisms of CNN are because I watch it 99% of the time. It's always on in my office while I work. I'm constantly rolling my eyes at the shit they say. It's beyond belief that people actually buy what they're selling. It's amusing to watch the death spiral of what used to be a respected journalistic organization happen in slow motion. They have guests from NYT and WaPost and that diminishes my belief in those newspapers' credibility.

When I watch MSNBC, I find their coverage far less slanted than CNN, which wasn't the case pre-Trump. They're actually a lot more fair to him, and still hit him hard with things that are newsworthy. I haven't seen them lie by omission, or focus on taking things out of context to make the president look bad.

I rarely tune to Fox - mostly just to see what they're saying.

While CNN was ranting about Trump 24/7, I turned to Fox and found them talking about actual news: Chelsea Manning trial, the republican tax plan, and Mueller (to a far lesser degree), and democratic congressmen as guests. I didn't see any mention of Manning's trial on CNN for days.

    Google News Feed.

You can set it up to highlight news sources and subjects you are interested in while still getting access to the major providers.

So all of you can still get your news from your safe spaces but you can still see scary things too.

    In bed.
