So I am living in Colombia right now, but in the next few weeks I'll be moving back to the Portland area for a few months and then returning here to Colombia. I'll be staying with my mother who has cut many expenses, so she just uses data from her phone for the internet.

Does anyone know of an internet company in the portland area that doesn't include a contract with their service?

Comcast will do month to month no contract. Just won't get a cheap package price.

See if you can get Stephouse, they don't have coverage everywhere, but if you can get it, it's worth it. Awesome customer service, no contracts. I pay $59 a month for 100 mbps down/8 mbps up, ping is usually about 8 ms.

I think you just click on my name and start a conversation . . . but don't worry about it, it's not a big deal.

I use Verizon prepaid for a UML290 usb stick. It works either 3g or 4LTE.
$60 for 60 days with 5G of data. You can add 1G at a time for $10.

Pretty much works where I go, some good, some not so good. I don't watch videos on it.
