We played rather poorly, they played very well, and we lost by 12. It happens, but everybody is quicker to yell "Trade CJ!!!" or say "This loss tells me this team sucks" than they are to admit the other team played well.

 

On easier 3s than Dame gets, and a lot more catch and shoot.

 

They played a more physical brand than we did. There were some awful calls, including one that even you'd hate on the refs for.

 

Personally, I'd be mad, and my competitiveness would make me want to dominate Melo every time we faced and show everyone why it would've been a mistake to trade me. You know what word describes that? PRIDE.

 

Either way he gets paid to do a job.

 

Yeah, that was fucked up.

 

No he's not. He plays better in the starting line-up than with the bench unit. Not all scoring guards belong on the bench. Usually SGs off the bench are just as good of defenders as starting SGs, so I don't see how he scores more... Bringing him off the bench makes 0 sense.

You're also saying we should play him less. Start Pat over CJ? Cmon...

CJ is better than that. He's a top 5 SG in the NBA. He's a starter.

 

I complained about the calls in the game, especially anything favoring Giannis. But, I did say that the Blazers deserved the loss. It's ok to complain about calls if you understand that your team also made a lot of mistakes. Bones falls in the same category. Ease off the high horse.

Blazers are going to continue to be exposed for the crap team they are as the season goes on. So far, we've only been able to beat bad teams (and barely at that). Just think of how few quality teams we've actually played. They had the easiest scheduled in the league, so far and that's going to reverse.

Refs just guess on almost every call. The NBA sucks. Every game, they call shit that's not a foul, and don't call obvious fouls.

 

These next 3 games are going to be very telling. Are we a 5th seed team? Or a lottery team in disguise?
