Our defense is SO much better than last year, of course the offense is going to suffer. We know what the offense is capable of, and it should be just a matter of time until it returns to a similar level. Hopefully the improvement on offense won't be at the cost of defensive effectiveness.
How much does he really impact the game defensively? I don't see a defensive force out there. Is he a good perimeter defender, is he an intimidating force inside? He doesn't even average 1 block per 36. He's not bad at those things for a PF, but I wouldnt classify him as "good" either.
Watching the Pelicans this season and it's exactly like watching the Blazers. Solid some nights, aweful the next. The commonality: Two stars surrounded by a mediocre cast of players. To get off the treadmill of mediocrity, do you anoint Collins as the COTF and deal Jusuf for Marc Gasol? A big move must be made.
Does Marc Gasol get them anywhere they want to be? I doubt it. That being said, I agree: something has to give.
I was against the deal before, but if you can get rid of Turner in the deal, and you really think Collins is the guy of the future, and that Nurk is more of what he's shown this year over last year, you gotta think about it. Gasol would be a good mentor for Collins at least.
I'm not dead set against it, I just don't see it being much more than a lateral move. The financial portion would good though.
last night we saw the league leader in team assists vs the team in LAST place in the league, it really sucks to watch this team unless you are a fan of Iso Ball
You know what sucks.....unpacking in your hotel room and you look up and your fucking sweatpants are LOOKING BACK! What the hell! I travel too much!
The basis of a new M. Night Shyamalan film. The souls of your clothes are breaking through the Phantom Void to tell you that they really stink.
YES! That is it! Between this shit and almost fighting Indiana Jones’ kid LAST season..... I swear it’s time for me to look for a new job!
