For once I think the crowd was out of line going after Meyers. There are plenty of other targets right now Meyer just the most popular target. He's been bench so much you can't expect him to show, something. But Meyers.... GET ANGRY! After 5 years it's time for you to dust that thing off! Have your "You can go right back go the Waffle House and sling hash all day" moment! Man. Fan boys (like me) will be less likely to boo you when you show some cojones.
It’s so annoying. And how many times is he gonna tell us the booing doesn’t bother him? It obviously does. He wouldn’t be posting these dumbass quotes if it doesn’t. That dude is a people pleaser it’s so obvious. He can’t stand that fans don’t like him. I bet that bothers him more than his actual game.
As soon as he signs with the Spurs or some other organization that can turn shitty players into good ones.
I wouldn't boo Meyers. I doubt very much he's doing anything outside of the scope of what the coaches told him to do. I also wouldn't boo him because even though he sucks it's not like he's lazy or wants to suck. If people want someone to boo, go after Olshey for giving him that ridiculous contract, but you can't really do that at the arena right now because he hasn't been at the games.
Cannot believe there is actually eight pages to a meyers hate thread. Just that very fact should tell you something.
...right? I like how he can never ignore this shit from the haters & critics and always has to respond or let it be known passive aggressively thru the media that it's on his mind. Do they call that being mentally weak in sports? A mental midget perhaps?
even before i clicked to to see the full quote, which i didnt know prior, i knew for damn sure itd be an angle of 'yall think i suck but i reckon i dont. ' vibe. i wasnt disappointed.
Derek Anderson? Tiago Splitter sure looked a lot more serviceable on their roster. I think they have been able to get away with having some pretty mediocre players on their roster over the years because of Tim Duncan, young Tony Parker, and youngish Manu. I don't think they've been able to get away with it as much the last few years.
I won't say Patty (he wasn't trash to begin with) but what about Danny Green? Green was out of the NBA when the Spurs found him.
I didn't boo him, but I did facepalm and laugh, just like I laughed when everyone booed Darius Miles coming back and then he got stuffed by Przybilla at the rim, and how I laugh at Felton every time he returns and doesn't do shit, Kobe, Turkoglu, LA....you name them. They all get laughed at.
If you look at his USG in advanced stats it went down for two years after Duncan left. This year he is rebounding to career norms though. I think he is the closest to counting.
The anger with Miles was mostly about the situation with Memphis fucking up our cap space, and that wasn't really his fault. He was just trying to make some more money.
“I have a lot to offer.” Six years and literally the only thing he ever talks about is his shooting. At his training camp pc he mentioned how he now knows what to do after setting a pick but I’m still seeing the same indecisive player I’ve seen the past six years. Set pick, brain freeze, make move too late. Never fails. I’m not an NBA player but is it really that hard to set a pick and roll to the basket, or set a pick and actually pop? It doesn’t even require instincts. He literally just stands there while his circuit board reboots.
I'd like to see Meyers start a few games at PF. He's the only PF that can shoot and contribute offensively.
Guys who were not performing as well before (or after)they got to SA? Danny Green? Patty Mills? Matt Fn Bonner? Splitter
