I honestly cannot remember a worse three-game stretch of home games. Not even when we were a lottery team.
Imagine On draft night we had trade Dame to Dallas for pick 9 and draft Dennis Smith JR., then trade CJ to Minnesota for pick 7 and draft Lauri Markannen, with our own pick 10 we draft Donavon Mitchell and with pick 26 we draft Kyle Kuzma. That would be a Monster rebuild on one night! Just imagine
Dame to Dallas because they would do it for dirk to stay competitive. And cj plays the same position as Butler now. 7-9 makes no different.
How did Collins and Swanigan do tonight? Thank God we had all those assets last draft to help this franchise.
So many contracts on this team are unmoveable because Olshey overpaid. How do you like these assets DennyCrane?
Dude... The best case scenario for Smith Jr. Is to be as good as Lillard. Why would we trade the face of our franchise for somebody who is likely to never be as good? That's ridiculous. Fuck.. the forum is going down the drain with stuff like this.
po·ten·tial pəˈten(t)SHəl/ adjective 1. having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.
Which is why moving up and drafting someone at 10 who MIGHT be good in a year or 2 in a loaded draft is ridiculous.
Everyone available were "might be" or "might not bes". You're acting like there was a sure thing in that point in the draft but there wasn't. You're acting like because he has long-term potentisl he's not good... You've probably never successfully baked anything before because you couldn't see past what is was before it was supposed to go in the oven.
OK Here is my Meltdown! Time for the dreaded "Players Only" Meeting! Obviously this is conjecture. But there have been a couple things that have happened recently and then we see major problems on the court. Lackluster play and a feeling of just overall lack of team unity. First you have Jason Quick doing a story on Harkless and it pretty much has him throwing his team mates under the bus for his lack of effectiveness and poor play. This was followed immediately with his benching. Quick for all his awesome ability as a writer has gone the way of easy street video and now seems to simply be a poor man's Canzano. Stirs the pot to get the next juicy morsel. Then you have the Boo Birds taking 5 years of disdain out on Meyers Leonard for missing a shot in an 8 minute shift that had very little to do with a loss. The fans had starters coming forward unprovoked to say "It was Wrong". It was wrong and totally classless. These are not the best fans in the league any longer if this is the way they are going to react. Speaking of fans. Has there even been a sellout this year? Not sure on that? But i have noticed a lot of empty seats. Then there is an issue with the ones that actually do go sitting on their hands for three quarters trying to figure out how to make an $11 beer last? Not to mention trying to understand why anyone would name their arena "Moda". Even the name of the place is bad. The Blazers are not just playing bad. They are not playing as a team. The players look to be uninterested and don't seem to care. My feeling is a combination of Quick disease and Boo fever plus just an overall lack of talent is the problem. You cannot make up for lack of talent without a bunch of hard work. Right now they are not working hard together. I love my Blazers but they are sick right now.... Kjironman is always a fan!!!
