Yes for their team Covington>CJ and he has a great contract as well. They fixed it so he takes big money this year and after that is at 10M/year.

I seriously doubt they even give up Beal straight up for CJ. Beal is better in my opinion. Taller and younger.

The only way to get really better is to do such a move, because it's high risk i agree, but the reward can be huge. You'll have the best big man in the league who is still only 24 years old.

The real problem is that all these players we are talking about giving away (all of them) are playing like garbage. Last year you could trade Harkless, but now? Dude is like a retired player. Meyers not getting minutes ever, Turner is not even an important part of rotation anymore, someone that was thought to be our important 6th player etc. Their value has gone down a lot and combined with their bad contracts it's really difficult to trade them. Unless we get some pretty old win now players or bad contracts back as well.

Not crazy idea, just an idea. Both cannot shoot so I don't wanna hear about the spacing we lose. Favors can be a decent backup C as he proved when Gobert was injured. He looked solid again after a lost year last year when he was injured. I know he is injury prone but worst case he just walks, but I think we can sign him for a good contract as there shouldn't be much money to throw at him from other teams. He is still young too, 26 years old although he seems to be around forever.

He doesn't fit well next to Gobert while with Nurk I think it could be better if Nurk develops that jumper. In any case i see him as a solid rotational big to take 18 mins of backup C at high level+10 minutes at PF next to Nurk.

Yep he is, he is good at basketball though which Harkless isn't and this team lacks. It's a risk, but I'd take it. And we get rid of that 10M garbage Mo Harkless.

It's a stupid idea. Favors is hardly ever on the floor. It isn't taking a risk, it's making a bad decision.

I said your post/idea was stupid. There's a difference. Then you, so rookily, insult me personally, therefore breaking forum rules.

Learn the game... Then... Post? Maybe don't then...

So you can insult my posts and expect that doesn't insult me? It's pretty obvious that when you insult what someone is saying you insult him as well. You could say you think otherwise, don't agree etc but you just made it personal.

He hasn't missed a game this year by the way so he is on the floor.

First off, I WAS talking about your idea. I honestly wasn't calling you stupid. It's easy to differentiate between a smart person and a stupid idea. Figure that one out.

If you internalize it and think I'm talking about you, then that's... well... on you.

2nd, if you knew how I post, rook, you would know I don't have a problem expressing my feelings about people.

Good to have vets like you around to lead the way. I, the rook, will stop from this forum. Not that you care, but I cannot accept stupid rules. Take care.

True. It gets a little murky if you say something to the affect that, "Your post is the kind of post an @*(***!x would write."

I completely understand. Whenever I have difficulty understanding and/or applying a rule, I also immediately conclude that the fault lies with the rule itself and not with me.

See, you are.learning! Calling the rules stupid is completely fine. Calling the person who made the rules stupid is not ok.

You also have thin skin. The rule is:

Insult the post, not the poster.

Again, I said your idea was stupid. I was honestly not referring to you, your posts, or anything else. I was simply referring to your idea of trading for Favors.

If you wanna internalize that and think I was calling you stupid, well.. Again... that's on you....
