He is not doing the opposite. He is enforcing the current law.

Ha! The dems may have to give to get the law changed!
    What will that card be?

It will be interesting if the Feds really start enforcing all the pot laws stringently. There is so much money from pharma, prison and policing industries, all working day and night to shove fists full of cash in our representatives pockets. Take money out of politics, and I bet it gets legalized immediately. Keep money in politics it will greatly impede the correct decision by many politicians, to legalize weed, or at least decriminalize it and let individual states and counties pass their own laws and police their own citizens.

    Ha!

I bet the Dems can get the Republicans to join them in changing federal law and doing just as you want.
It may cost them something though. What do you think that will be?

I don't like private prisons. They should be 100 percent illegal. Taking away someone's freedom shouldn't be exposed to the slightest chance of a conflict of interest.

Please stop calling me a big government conservative. You haven't got a clue what I'd be for or against as far as government is concerned.

It would blow your mind how I'd reform government if it were up to me.

I'm pretty sure it is Sessions' name in the thread title and not Trump.

I love how Republicans are all about "State's rights" until it doesn't fit their ideology. Fucking silly. (Not you bodyman, I'm just thinking out loud).

Ps. I don't even smoke weed myself. It makes me feel terrible.

I've said before why I hate weed. It saddens me to see the lines of deplorables waiting when they open a new dispensary.

I'm all for changing federal law to make it a states rights issue. Same with just about anything. People can vote with moving trucks.

Yet watching the regulars wait with shakey hands for their neighborhood pub to open is ok. I've worked in enough bars to see how sad it can be.

Don't get me started on drunks. Without my father clouding my judgement I'd probably outlaw bars first. Alcohol at home.... that's different.

Remember, I'm just talking about my personal feeling about drugs or booze. If I were in power it would be different.

Tit for tat discussions about alcohol and weed is irrelevant.

Having society give the ok and green light to using another mind numbing drug by millions of young people is not a brilliant move. It is just another pit of many placed in life's road, to trap the unwary.
While it is tauted to help a few, it will hinder or harm more, perhaps many more. While the only benefit maybe the revenue to support a few more bureaucrats.

I wish I could say this with any conviction. The truth is, I don't have a clear sure answer.

    Pretty hilarious.....

I was raised Republican on the principle that being a Republican meant less federal government, less taxes, more states rights.

I guess that was all bullshit eh?

I guess the GOP and the Dems are both Federalists these days. The Anti-Federalist movement is officially dead.

Weird! Why is this so difficult to grasp for so many?
