I looked one up (the one about injuring lamps). It actually makes perfect sense if you read it in context.

So yeah, there's a law against 'injuring lamps', ha ha. But basically it means don't vandalize government property.

I imagine many of the others in the list are the same sort of thing.

Who cares? Alcohol is much more dangerous to society, and cigarettes are much more dangerous to the person using them.

I don't understand why, but it's their choice to do whay they want with their personal lives as long as they aren't hurting anyone. "Freedom" is a core value of this country.

Either way, people are still gonna smoke. So either we create tax income with legalization, or we use tax money to lock up harmless people for their personal, harmless decisions.

It's non-sensical to argue against legalization.

Those who do favor controlling others personal lives based on their own personal opinions on something. That's one of my biggest pet peeves.

    Should cigarrettes be illegal?

Making weed illegal won't stop people from smoking it. The government doesn't even have a huge interest in stopping dealers, as they're more interested in finding buyers and imprisoning them for it.

The federal punishment for smoking weed would be more harmful than the weed itself. How many people have you been around that smoke weed? I've been around many who smoke daily, and their mind is the opposite of "numb", and weed isn't a pitfall at all.

Most "harmful" effects from smoking marijuana are a myth.

I ain't stopping anyone. I laughed because some have started huge booming illegal businesses and they're scared shitless. Makes me laugh. Sorry. People can fuck running blenders for all I care.

What you're seeing is the way this country works. We could make all drugs legal any time we wanted. We haven't.

With all of the other things that are illegal, cigarettes certainly should be. There's too much money involved.

It should be just like weed should be, you grow your own and use it in private and nobody should bother you.

I just hate weed. The smell, the mindless babbling that people that smoke it emit, the soulless red eyes. Everything about it.

That's all personal. I admit it.

It's got to be a side show when they come into your shop. Personally , I want it legalized so my bankrupt State may actually have a surplus margin. This is really what it is all about, MONEY.

From Sessions' point of view, it's a GREAT move. He undoes an Obama recommendation. If Trump has any ideology, it is undo everything "the black guy" did and Sessions, remember, was the first Senator to support him. It will fill prisons. Another Obama rule that was overturned phased out private for profit prisons for federal convictions; now, they can fill the private prisons. Sessions owns stock in private prisons so he will get richer. Because it is absolutely impossible to jail every American who uses pot, tens of millions, the law will be applied selectively and we can guess what color the people selected are likely to be when the Attorney General had his nomination for a judgeship turned down by the Senate because they found him too racist to be a judge. And with felony convictions, these black and brown people will lose their right to vote in many states, so fewer "wrong" people voting. Under War on Drugs laws, people with drug convictions, even for simple possession, cannot get federal student aid so fewer college students. Educated people are less likely to vote Republican. And they will be barred from numerous benefits like federally subsidized housing, which Sessions opposes. So hell, it's all good for Jefferson Beauregard Session III, white supremacist.

I laughed my ass off seeing old Sessions clip on TV last night. The one where he says "good people don't smoke MARE E WANNA"

I know he's a scumbag obviously but I had a blast walking around saying it to my wife and dogs.

    Cracked me up

It's not for you or your "morals" to decide though. THAT'S the point. All of the bolded statements are your opinion. An opinion that was defeated by the democratic process.

MJ wasn't made illegal with a democratic process (per say). But the government decided it should be illegal and used lies and scandalous tactics to achieve that end (mostly racist tactics but you'd never believe that).

All of it bought and paid for by Dupont Co. who KNEW that hemp makes STRONG biodegradable plastic and all the oil companies who KNEW that hemp makes CLEAN BURNING biomass fuel.

You have a problem in this country, FOLLOW. THE. MONEY. and you will find the solution.

The PEOPLE voted and the PEOPLE decided to decriminalize MJ. But no.. lets everyone (the majority of us who voted for marijuana decriminalization) have to live by what the government (Schedule 1? Really?) says?

    Is that Liberty or Tyranny?
