Does watching sports on television assist people to work more efficiently? Make it illegal.

I think the marijuanas are a prerequisite for underwater basket weaving.

It's not about work fuel...it's for those who need to manage inner rage, pain, insomnia, cancer therapy and for some to unwind rather than using alcohol at the end of a workday...chain smoking tobacco doesn't make anyone ambitious...guzzling booze either...or being stoned all the time

I'll be completely honest here, I have smoked pot to assist my sleep, and yes, the next day I was well rested and able to work efficiently. More so than if I had, let's say, only gotten 4 hours of restless sleep, drank a pint of whiskey, or gotten in an argument with my significant other.

I will also note, I have been clean for many months and have seen no sudden uptick in my efficiency since I was previously using marijuana.

I will grant you your point that nobody should work while stoned, that is pretty obvious, but I disagree that it is strictly a hindrance. Why do you care what people do outside of work hours anyway? :dunno:

Yes. I personally know many people that smoke pot for that exact reason. One being my ex wife that is the director of marketing of a software company making over 200k a year. I've worked in corporate America for 20 years and have come across more people than you could imagine that smoke weed and it doesn't effect them whatsoever. The stereotype of being a slacker, lazy, stoner created by Hollywood and now perpetuated by the sleazy GOP is a fucking LIE.

I don't smoke it though. It makes me a slacker, lazy, stoner lol. Different people react differently.

For those of you talking about opioids - I did 28 days in a rehab facility for alcohol and adderall. The opioid epidemic may not technically be an epidemic by the core meaning, but I'll tell you this, amongst our youth, it is a a problem. It's not just opioids. They mix them with benzodiazepines and you'd be stunned how many 24 and under kids were checked into this joint. It was extremely sad and eye opening. We were the old drunks, they were the young drug addicts but we all got along haha.

FWIW, no one, and I mean NO ONE, was there for weed abuse or addiction.

Jeff Sessions is a fucking moron and he'll end up doing way more harm than good.

Also, for anyone that thinks legalizing weed increases it's use with any demographic, you're picking the wrong demo if you choose the youth. They had already been doing it. Don't be so dense. In my experience the dispensaries have opened up the idea of weed (edibles) to a much older generation just to see what it's like. And it's fucking hilarious to watch.

Man.... my vice is soda and video games.

Never did drugs of any kind.

    Barely ever drink alcohol.

    Never smoked.

    I guess I'm pretty boring.

I do not think getting stoned, drunk, whatever is cool for work, performance, rehearsals, school, or should ever replace real life experiences for young people...I would not allow it when I worked in the music industry...too much to lose and in my experience, it dulls timing and dynamics....after work...party on bro! I went decades without alcohol....working in bars does that to me. Now I'm relaxed with life and enjoy my brandy and bud at the end of the day...life is good.

You know this but this is for the people in the balcony: prisoners are legal slave labor; the war on drugs is a glorified slave auction.

If people only exist to toil, then you're right. Do you exist only to toil?

Beer is WAY worse for you than marijuana ever will be.

Think not? Prove it to be true and you win $100K.

Get to workin'. Time is money.
