Who would you trade for him though?

Fournier is a 25 year old 18 ppg scorer who's shooting 89% from the line and 40% from 3, while playing in a position of need for us.

25 year old 18 ppg scorers do not grow on trees. I'd be thrilled to give up a 1st for one who plays at our worst position. But I understand that not everyone agrees.

While he's an efficient 18ppg scorer, he's more of a 13-15ppg scorer on a .500+ team. And he's not a good defender. He's Otto Porter Jr. without the interior game and defense.

Clippers are probably looking for picks, expiring contracts and young studs. We'd have to start with Collins, picks, Ed Davis and Meyers.

This is kind of a weird trade idea, as it is one of the few that could get rid of Turner and Leonard in one swoop. As you might imagine it also involves getting some bad contracts back. Turner, Leonard and Napier to Washington for Kelly Oubre, Mahhimni and Jason Smith. I think Washington would see Turner being more useful to them than Mahimni and they could definitely use an upgrade at backup point guard. With Mahimni going out, they could use a backup C like Leonard who is getting paid a lot less. Oubre is shooting .392 from three this year, supposedly very athletic, only 22. Portland would also be sending out about 5.4 million more than they bring in. And Smith's contract only two years, so save a little longer term also. If we really like Oubre, I guess we could add a pick?

Oubre is my #1 realistic SF for us. Make it happen.

I’d probably still take him as a bench player though, even at 17m per or whatever he’s making. He’d be an ideal sixth man. Evidently Orlando isn’t interested in more draft picks, so I’d hope they’d be interested in someone like Aminu, Vonleh, or Harkless, all of whom fit the athlete their front office prefers. Shit they may even like Meyers, especially since they’ll eventually trade Vucevic

I'd they're not interested in picks then they're interested in young project players? Their whole team is full of young project players. That organization is so mismanaged lol

    They'd trade Porter before Oubre.

I think they’re probably in the same boat as Denver was. They have enough young players and don’t want to add anymore guys to develop. Aminu would probably be someone they’d want. Harkless would be a project but he’s got enough years under his belt.

Problem with this is it would put the wizards into luxury tax. Oubre is also worth a lot more than Napier imo. Napier would have the same role in Washington as he does in Portland.

Would you do a first and Evan for mahinmi and oubre? I probably would. Oubre is basically what we’d be praying for in the draft.

Then trade Davis and Napier wherever and get under the tax. Maybe get a first back for Napier.

They don't have good young players though (other than Gordon and Fournier). They have no foundation. They need to trade Fournier and Vucevic for mid-1sts. They'll get a star with their top pick and could trade their way into the back end of the lottery. Bagley+Gordon+Isaac+Walker is the type of core they need.

They don't have a Jokic there, and they don't have the supporting pieces like Harris, Chandler, Varied, Nurk/Plumlee, etc. And thru don't have a deep prospect pool like DEN has with Hernangomez, Beasley, and Lyles.
