This is just stupid slander. Nothing about Nurkic is soft. Watch how he plays other top centers. He has no problem with physicality. He just finesseses when he doesn’t have to. It’s not out of fear.I’ve mentioned this before, but all his struggles are against smaller guys.
I would say he doesn't go up strong all the time. He is a lil bit tender... Needs to know how big he is. That move he put on KAT the other day was amazing and strong. He needs to do that MUCH more. He's inconsistent.
Not that desperate, but I'd definitely look into Meyers and Harkless for Noah and the right to swap 1sts with them. We swap two players who don't play making $20M for one player who doesn't play making $17M, thus getting us under the cap, and moving up in the process. NYK would likely have to attach a 1st to Noah to move him, so moving slightly down in the draft while getting a player they like in Harkless is the next best thing.
UTA Gets: Napier (IPE), Vonleh, Korver, Mills SAS Gets: Favors, Zizic CLE Gets: Al-Farouq Aminu, Ekpe Udoh POR Gets: 2018 CLE 1st, 2018 SAS 1st, Raul Neto then MEM Gets: Jake Layman, 2018 CLE 1st (via POR) LAC Gets: Jusuf Nurkic, Moe Harkless, Meyers Leonard, 2018 SAS 1st, 2018-2020-2022 POR 1sts. POR Gets: Blake Griffin, Willie Reed (TPE), Tyreke Evans (TPE) Lillard (36) / McCollum (12) McCollum (24) / Connaughton (20) / Evans (4) Evans (28) / Turner (20) Griffin (35) / Collins (13) Davis (24) / Reed (17) / Collins (7) How good is that team?
We'd basically be signing him and trading out salary via S&T in order to make it happen. The salary would go to a 3rd team with picks going to GSW. I literally explained it in the post you quoted.
He doesn’t even flop. What he does is no different than taking a charge. It’s not like he’s not getting hit. Flopping would be if he got hit in the arm and grabbed his face.
We'd likely give them a pick as well with expirings (Turner?) Or maybe GSW would want Turner for his final year of his contract.
That makes some sense, but there is NO WAY I could ever cheap for him. Noah is on my top 5 disliked players
Neither seem like the type to complain, but Meyers, and especially Noah Vonleh probably aren't thrilled racking up DNP - CDs. This is a contract year for Noah and he has gone from a starter to having his butt glued to the bench. I also think Shabazz has aspirations of being a starter and realizes he will never be one here. Again, doesn't seem like the type to complain, but if we don't trade him before the deadline, we'll likely lose him for nothing come July. BNN
