Fake Deduction on your part. A more accurate thread title would be "Unlike his predecessors, President Trump actually enforced sanctions against Russia and lo and behold, they are working"
Why would you insult Trump like that? I would hardly call Trump blowing Putin a sanction. I'm sure Trump tries his very best.
The vote on Russian sanctions was: House: 419-3 Senate: 98-2 Trump even signed the bill. For him not to enact true bipartisan legislation is bullshit.
Congress has an approval rating hovering below 10%, and we're debating the same issues they were supposed to fix back when I was in grade school. President Trump has already proven he's far more capable of negotiating in our country's best interests with foreign powers, whether they be enemy or ally.
You don't want to set this precedent. Imagine if republicans had taken over both chambers with Obama as president and got rid of ACA and then Obama failed to enforce their law. This is ridiculous. But now any future president can simply follow this precedent. You can keep singing Trump's praises but this is extremely dangerous.
https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/29/europe/russia-accuses-us-of-election-meddling-intl/index.html Maybe we should sanction ourselves?
Obama set this precedent by refusing to enforce immigration laws, refusing to enforce campaign finance laws, refusing to enforce marijuana laws, refusing to uphold several Constitutional Amendments...
Putin's son-in-law just lost half his billion dolllar fortune in a divorce. And I would say Trump is losing what's left of his brain after all that good Atlantic City coke in the 80's.
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-29/year-russian-collusion Obama hadn't even been in office for a whole year when he gave in to Moscow’s biggest demand by dropping the missile defense shield for Poland and the Czech Republic. During his campaign, he had enthusiastically backed the defensive program, declaring,“We have to send a clear signal that Poland and other countries in that region are not going to be subject to intimidation and aggression.” Like all of his campaign promises that were based on political triangulation, law enforcement, counterterrorism, Jerusalem and gay marriage, it was a campaign lie to be thrown out after the election. Putin praised Obama’s sellout of our allies as a “brave decision.”In his first year, President Trump touted the sale of Patriot missiles to Poland. That was a truly brave decision. After the Russian invasion, Obama refused to provide Ukraine with military assistance. While he had handed out weapons to Islamist terrorists in Syria and Libya, the Ukrainians were only offered MREs. The same administration that covertly shipped a fortune in foreign currency on unmarked cargo planes to Russia’s Iranian allies took months to meet Ukrainian requests for boots and spare tires. ... Not only wasn’t there anything like Obama’s Year One windfall of appeasement, but Moscow was getting nothing but trouble. The new National Defense Strategy lists Russia as a major threat. It’s a return to the Republican view of Russia as a geopolitical threat that Obama had mocked Romney for. The Washington Post, which boasts a new Russia-Trump conspiracy theory every five hours, responded by claiming that Trump’s policy of confronting Russia is exactly what Vladimir Putin wants. "Trump's strategy pushes confrontation with Russia, and Moscow is pleased," a Post op-ed declared. What better evidence could there be that Trump is Putin’s puppet than that he’s standing up to him? The Trump administrated unapologetically approved the sale of sniper rifles to the Ukrainians. “I’m aware of not only the extraordinary work that you’ve done on behalf of the Russian people,"Obama had gushed during his meeting with Putin. There were no protests from the same media that has since then repeatedly suggested that Trump’s praise for Putin indicated a soft spot for dictators.
Where in what he said was any of that not true? People may or may not agree with Obama or Trump but there is such a thing as reality. I don't like HOW Trump has gone about some of what he has done but WHAT he has done has had very positive ramifications on my clients, their businesses, their employees.....and from my military clients, most of them view WHAT he as done as a breath of fresh air while wishing HOW he would do it were in a more Presidential manner. Not sure I disagree with any of that....especially when it has had such an effect on the bottom line in so many instances so far.
