We thought we were in a good relationship--a healthy relationship. Then we were just dumped. This new site is good looking, but the pain lingers a bit: will the new site dump us too? are we even good enough for the new site? what does the new site see in us? are we strong enough to resist when the old site wants us back? etc. Grieving is a process...so process.
Bla Bla Bla Yes. Unlikely Definitely not. Cannon fodder I can not answer this question, but I am still learning. (Damn it Google) You owe the Oracle a rubber chicken and a Cadillac
A little story. I posted for years on Oregonlive. That forum was pretty damn good about 10 years ago. Then I heard about this place, so I started posting here and still on oregonlive. This place elects their mods. There was a mod election so I entered. I was losing in the voting so I went over to Oregonlive and a deal was struck. If everyone over on Oregonlive voted for me to be mod here I would stop posting on Oregonlive. So a bunch of you Oregonlivers joined and voted SlyPokerDog! I became mod and my reign of terror began.
You just gave me hope that I, too, could harness people's dislike of me into a position of power. Well done.
I'm over there today trying to recruit (empower) some of the few people that (pretend to) like me. They just can't accept that they're not wanted anymore...
OK, unpacking this a bit... Um, I think we've banned about 5 members in 8 years, or roughly 0.005% of members. To get banned around here?
We would organize Meet and Greets with Pritchard and Oregonlive wouldn't even send a reporter to cover it. Blazers Edge and WW would but a Blazer GM talking with fans from their own forum?!? Not outrageous enough for them.
