Why is it that the perception of Gordon has changed so dramatically in a years time? Last year he was considered one of the best young players in the league and now all of a sudden the Magic want to move him? Is he just having a down year or has he really regressed that bad? I don’t get it, probably because I never watch Magic games.

Stats-wise he is having way better year than last year. I think they just don't want to pay him max. We shouldn't either though.

Imo if Gordon is the best, or second best player on your team, you’re probably not very good. That’s not really a knock on him, he’s just not a franchise player imo. He’s relatively inefficient offensively and his stats are inflated because he’s on a shitty team. He started off this year hot but has come back to earth. His efficiency should improve if he’s given less responsibility. He has limitations that’d be masked playing with Dame and CJ. But on the other hand he’d also mask their defensive deficiencies. He’d be a great fit.

I’d do that too but I don’t want to accidentally google Fournier on a drunk night.

Because the Magic should really be trying to create space for all those free agents that will want to sign there lol. Our cap situation is so bad as is we’re going to have to get even deeper into the tax if we want to improve at all. Either by trading for impending RFA or signing already highly paid players because our assets in return are all highly paid anyways. I don’t see any other options.

I really think there’s gotta be a three way deal between Milwaukee, LAC, and Portland that makes a lot of sense. I’m too drunk to figure it out now tho.

I’d love to keep Aminu as insurance for Jabari but it would probably take something like that to get it done. I watched Parker player for like 10 minutes tonight and was sold. He’s so god damn talented.

Why wouldnt LA take back Parker?

Give me Middleton though. Or Fournier. Or Crowder.

Because they’re looking to clear cap space either to go after Lebron or for the summer of 2019. And before anyone discredits their chances of landing someone significant, may I remind you who’s in charge of that ship; Jerry West.

Jabari is better at the 4 though and will likely get a big contract this summer. Plus they'd have a hard time getting Jordan's big contract with Parker's being so small right now.

It might be more realistic to go for Middleton in this trade instead.

    Bucks get DeAndre Jordan
Clippers get Evan Turner (unfortunately we have to make the salaries work so this is probably a deal breaker), Shabazz Napier, 2018 1st from Portland, 2019 2nd rounder from Portland (via more favorable of LAL and Minnesota), and a future 1st from Milwaukee (2 years after their pick is conveyed to Phoenix)
Blazers get Khris Middleton and Matthew Dellavedova (we have to take a bad contract back too if we want Turner gone)

Starters: Dame, CJ, Middleton, Aminu, Nurkic
2nd unit: CJ, Connaughton, Harkless, Collins, Davis
Deep Bench: Dellavedova, Vonleh, Layman, Leonard, Swanigan

Starting lineup is set for this year and next year, then hopefully Collins is ready to step in for Aminu as the starting PF at that point (sooner would be nice too). The bench would still need some work but with that kind of upgrade to the SF spot they could use the TPE and tax-payer MLE to add some nice role players.

Actually I think Milwaukee would want Aminu more than LA.

Plus picks to LA. Teletovic is an expiring next season, so probably moveable.

Let’s simplify this, id rather pay Jabari than Nurk.

    Davis/Collins
    Jabari/Amino
    Turner
    CJ/Pat
    Dame/Napier

I like Collins/Jabari frontcourt moving forward. Need to hit on a SF in the draft though unless we can flip Amino/Napier for a decent one.

Portland is over the Cap and the Lux Tax. They can't just take on a player for Picks. Something has to go back out.
