    A Collins/Jabari frontcourt for the next decade would be awesome. I’m in the firm believe that Collins will be the starting CENTER for pdx in the near future, which is probably why Nurk will get dealt this week, IMO

    If Nurk does get dealt it means Portland sees Collins as the COTF, like right when Jordan’s contract expires.

    Isn’t anyone else sick of watching fadeaway scoop shots from our 7 foot center? Ever since he lost the weight he’s too much finess. Jabari has a WAY higher ceiling than Nurk.

    Collins is a PF/C. He can play either as effectively as the other. So seeing him being a starter in a couple years shouldn't mean giving up Nurkic for DeAndre in order to clear the way for Collins... That's a bad misuse of assets and Collins can be our PFOTF...

    The only stat I don't like about Jabari is the "Games played per year stat." Not that I wouldn't welcome him with open arms if he was coming.

    I said I wanted Jabari for him not Jordan, I was just stating that if they did trade Nurk for Jordan it just means they see Collins as the COTF. This front office has made several decisions more horrible than Nurk for Jordan if it happened.

    If the Blazers could turn Nurkic into Parker, I'd consider that a win. I think Parker is riskier, but higher upside, personally. I agree with LayneStaley that a Collins/Parker front court has the potential to be tremendous, and more in step with the current era, as both guys can (potentially) stretch the floor. I'm also very leery of paying Nurkic a lot of money, because I'm not convinced his offense will ever be terribly worthwhile. Parker is also a major risk to pay, but I like him as a gamble a bit more.
