What's fueling such large percentage gains by so many teams? Is it largely speculative, like investments, or is there something substantive there? Revenue isn't going up like that, otherwise there wouldn't be a slowdown of the cap growth and dried up post-'16 free agent market.
It changed every sport. The fricking Florida Marlins sold for 1.3 Billion. The MARLINS!!! I literally doubt the Yankees will ever get sold judging by that figure.
We are in the bottom half of the league in operating income with 25 mil. Making about a sixth of what NYK makes. No wonder Dolan doesn't give a shit-- no matter what they do on the floor, they keep raking in the money CLE the only team making a loss at -6 mil. Also, surprised to see SAC ahead of us in valuation.
Yeah. Sorry, my bad.... billions. Was on the phone so it might it might have been auto corrected. But you get my point. If baseball is truly is a dead sport, a marginal team being worth over a billion is amazing.
Compared to other arenas around the league built in the same era, the RG is in fantastic shape. They have really maintained it well. There are some dumps out there. That new Detroit arena is very nice. They did a great job Such an upgrade from the Malace of Auburn Hills.
If San Antonio's reach was only regional I'd get what you are saying, but a lot of teams' have reach beyond their local geography, and with all of the "furrners" the Spurs have had on the roster, and the sustained excellence they've enjoyed, they are a global brand.
