I think Clarkson's an excellent fit for them. Nance is probably better than anyone they were going to draft in the late 20's. Great deal for them, IMO.

Looks that way, but I don't think he goes to LA.

Neil Olshey's job is to pursue trades that management believes will improve the team. His job is not to make trades that make the team worse, nor is it to make a trade simply to satisfy the needs of OCD fans. Just because Olshey isn't posting hourly updates on S2 telling fans the conversations he's having with other teams, doesn't mean he isn't having them. Just as Olshey isn't going to make a trade either he or Paul Allen doesn't like, neither are other teams. That's why the vast majority of discussed trades never happen. It takes two to tango. Everything I just wrote is obvious, right?

That's not to say I'm not enjoying the show. Carry on :)

The Cavs got better defensively, got a good 6th man, and got younger pieces for a world post-LeBron. IT was just a bad fit in Cleveland.

If they get rid of Randle and his caphold in the next 2.5 hrs, they can potentially open up nearly 60 mil in capspace

The can get rid of Randle's cap hold in the summer at a moment's notice by just renouncing him. No need for them to trade him right now.

But it's a good deal. They clear $12M of salary by letting Clarkson go and get a first round pick that might be around 22-24 which isn't bad at all. Nance has not been great and would have required a pay rise in the Summer.

Why wouldn't they just take what they could get now if they aren't planning on him being there

I’m confused we think our guard combos are bad defensively Ball and Isiah will be awful. How do those two work together?

I've read that a lot of players consider him the best defensive player they go against. and he is hitting threes at 37% and he is in age range of Lillard and Mccollum.

Bradley is one of those guys though who you really can’t judge by his numbers though. He can lock guys down and that won’t show up on the sheet. I asked Dame a few years ago, who he has the toughest time against and he didn’t even hesitate. He said Bradley plays him the toughest. Said he really respect his game and court demeanor.
