Keep him through the draft as I like him there. But then beyond that I don't care much one way or another. I think we could do a lot worse but possibly better.

Wanted him gone before, want him gone now. I'm increasingly coming around to the idea of Chauncey Billups as a replacement. And I hate the idea of big name players in the front office, but the way he talks about teams on NBA TV has me convinced that he can do well.

My guess is this is going to be our most one sided post ever. Kind of like asking if Nickelback is your favorite band.

I'll be mildly surprised if he's not fired before the draft.
I'll be SHOCKED if he's not fired immediately after the draft if he doesn't make a huge change to the roster on draft day.
Draft day is the absolute drop dead date, IMO - he certainly doesn't deserve another Free Agency period.

Fire his ass. Ultimately, however, that doesn't matter because the problem starts with Paul Allen.

God I hate being a mediocre "good, but not great" team. Being stuck in the middle is purgatory for a small market basketball team like ours.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
My usual stance: keep him until you've lined up a better option. I don't think Olshey is a terribly great GM, but I do think you can do worse, so this isn't a "get rid of him at all costs" situation.

There are at least 5 players I would rather have than Zach Collins. Not sure he's such a great drafter if you remove Dame/CJ/Deandre.

He's the guy who picked Aminu with the 8th pick when Gordon Hayward went 9th, and Paul George went 10th. Why is that not part of his drafting legacy when we laud praises for Dame/CJ?

Look at the roster and salary situation when he was hired and then look at where it is today. That’s all he should be judged on. I don’t care about circumstantial factors, a good GM shows a clear plan and path towards improvement and I see none past buying into the Collins hype. I’d give him till draft day to make something happen then he’s gone.

I'm tired of draft picks. We didn't need two more rookies last summer. That was a huge mistake in my opinion. Neither one of those guys were ready to step in right away and contribute.

It's becoming more and more apparent that the whole goal has been for a while to throw in towel over the next couple of years. Which is kind of sad, but also, understandable. I just want to know is when did Olshey realize he had MASSIVELY screwed up.

You just called into the Dwight Jaynes/Aaron Fentress radio show to say this exact thing, didn't you?

Blazers should just start interviewing for a new GM, let it be known that they are. Then wait to fire Neil till just before they hire the new guy. Hell bring prospectives into Neils office and out loud, ignoring Neil who is sitting behind his desk, tell them this would be your office...

We haven't had our own picks, sure, but we have still traded for rookies pretty consistently.

    Collins (R)
    Swanigan (R)
    Layman (1 year)
    Connaughton (2 years)

Who is the last draft pick that we either picked or traded for that has actually been a major contributor on the team?

    CJ?

EVERY GM has these. Even the great Jerry West. He took Devean George over Andrei Kirilenko and Sam Jacobson (who?) over Rashard Lewis. My opinion is if you don't get a certified bust (Aminu is not a bust, I talking players out of the league after 4 years) then you are doing good as a GM. I not saying he is some god. But he is way better than the average GM at drafting.

You named a replacement. Not necessarily a better one. What evidence is there that Langdon is a good GM prospect?
