Sometimes I disagree with scouts. I was reading how a few scouts said they didn't know what the Rangers saw in Zborovskiy and that they thought he had no NHL ability. I'll tell you what they see. Unlike a ton of moron defenseman in the NHL. He actually knows where to stand to break up plays in the defensive zone. He's a pain to play against. He actually hits forwards and God forbid, will sacrifice his body to block shots. He's a righty to boot. The NHL scouts have gotten way too caught up with this pass and skate crap with NHL defenseman as have some coaches like our dumbass coach. They should look at the Penguins who had three slugs on their cup winning team last year on defense. They won all the key games by low scores. Those slugs actually know how to play defense.

I actually think the Rangers are freeing up cap space as well and will make a huge run at Tavares. I don't buy he'll play in Toronto because it's his hometown. That hometown crap is so overblown. It almost never happens. Sadly, I'm starting to think Zucc will go. Let's face it, he's small with a lot of miles on him now. He probably has 1-2 years left at a good level.

I think Kovalchuk and maybe resign Nash or Grabner. Would JT spurn the Isles for NYC?

Devils fans are so predictably stupid. This is what they are thinking. They have a couple of young players having some success. So, they are sitting their, rubbing their little peckers over it. They figured the Rangers were due for this long down period. Then something went wrong in their plans. The Rangers had 2 first round picks last year while dumping Stepan's idiotic contract. Both are in the AHL at a super young age and are producing. That angered them. Then they thought Blackwood would be their future goalie. He sucks now. So they are worried about their future goalie situation. While the Rangers from all scouting reports have one the top goalie prospects in the world in Shesterkin. That angers them. Now they hear that market value for Nash and Grabner are a first round pick and a good prospect. They are now infuriated. The idea of the Rangers adding 2 good prospects, two first rounders for two guys who they surely can resign next year has enraged them. So after pissing away 4 first round picks and two seconds over a 4 year period, they now get back 5 first round picks in two years. This makes them crazed. That's not even factoring in a McDonagh deal. :)

Ronning with 2 G 1 A in his teams 4-3 win. Now with 51 goals in 55 games this season. Can't wait to see this kid make the jump. Right handed shot to boot. Also, being he's smaller like Zucc, I can see him replacing Zucc in the near future. I see Zucc getting dealt at the deadline next year.

If he can get the defensive side of his game figured out, he could be a nice asset down the line.

Howden had 2 A in his teams win. 14 of 17 on draws. He seems to be a guy that could be a beast on draws down the line. Ronning 2 G 1 A in his teams 4-3 loss. Should be interesting to see what he can do in the AHL if he doesn't make the team out of camp. Andersson had 1 A as his team got wrecked. Chytil was a -4 in that game. Seems like Andersson isn't on the ice for many goals against. Chytil, Andersson, Nieves and Fontaine seem to be the forwards that have the only decent +/- on that crap team.

I still think Gropp could turn into an NHL player but apparently he's not progressed all that well, so next year will be big for him. Maybe once he hits age 21-22 in the AHL he'll turn it around.

Gropp seems to be a bit injury prone. It doesn't help him that his team down there sucks. I suspected him to struggle his first year in the AHL. I was hoping for about 17 to 20 goals. Powerforwards sometimes take longer to develop. He might need until 23 before he figures it out.

These recent trades pushed the ranking up 7-8 spots at least.

It's going to get a lot better after this draft. Day is a complete wild card. It's boom or bust with him. He's had 49 points in 47 games this year. 25 points in 21 games for Kingston but he's a -8. I believe with the exceptional status he was granted he can play in the AHL before 20. I would like to see him get 2 years of AHL experience and see where he is at. I love the kid Fontaine for the Pack as our future 4th line center. Offense will improve. Kid is a winner. Period. He's clutch also.

Howden had 4 A, was 14 out of 16 on draws. First star in his teams 6-5 loss. Hajek had 1 A. Andersson had 1 A, Chytil 1 G in the Pack's 4-3 win. Howden is 47 of 58 in his last 3 games on draws.

+35 is not that impressive in junior. Zborovskiy was a +72 last year. Either way, maybe he can be a 3rd line type.
