    So, um, we're clear that this guy has nothing to do with the National Republican Party other than he got enough signatures to not get removed from the ballot post-haste by the R's this time?

    So, sure, there are 91 messed-up people in Chicago. The Republican Party may be included in that. Just not for supporting this clown.

    I did think something was interesting. The Tribune points out that the ridiculous gerrymandering done in IL has made it so that no actual viable (R) candidate is going to waste his time running there. Which leads to a) an echo chamber similar to how Hank Johnson keeps getting elected (and put on HASC!), even though he thinks Guam can tip over if you stick 8000 Marines on it and b) people getting 100 signatures being the only people running against the "unopposed" candidate.

    Yep. Of all the things that one should blame on Republicans, this one is pretty low on the list. Of course, they should have been on the ball enough to have a non-nazi on the ballot for appearances sake. But it's a very minor failing, considering.

    ok king of snark and tunnel vision...I addressed two definitions....not connected to ballots...but showing how exaggerated a comparison Maris was making...you want an answer? You should know that there is an American socialist party..always has been...used to be based in Berkley California...not a popular lobby but it does exist..and Social Democracy is not even in the same conversation as National Socialism...Canada is not anything like Nazi Germany no matter how much of a capitalist one is.

    I didn't offer merit opinions....I'm not the guy trolling for real American definitions here....we're a diverse country...hell there are even apolitical people here...the small political parties don't get press in the media..never have...you're not looking for anwers though, you're looking for adversaries....and you love your boxes and labels for people, this I know...I won't expound any further on the matter....
