Caught the last few moments of Brian Kenneys Show heard a guest comment an improvement to the game would be to have the batter simply return to the dugout. Jesus Christ where do they find them?

My bad, I apologize, the man stated that when a batter hit a home run he should return to the dugout rather than run the bases. Some of these ideas to "speed up " the game are getting out of hand.

Speeding up the game in Baseball was never an issue for me...and I don't understand why people don't mind spend 3+ hours watching a Football game but don't want to spend 3+ hours watching a Baseball game.

But IMO, both FB and BB would both be sped up if they'd simplify and streamline the replay system and how and when managers can challenge a call.

Running the bases is the pure essence of baseball from 1903 until now. How can fans appreciate the home run when a robot slams one over the fence?
