Again... I don't have the answers. That's not what this thread was about. There are people that we as a society have elected to pass laws that are supposed to make us safe. Many of whom have taken money from the NRA and *SHOCKINGLY* have gone out of their way to avoid doing anything about gun violence in this country. If you seriously want me to come up with some suggestions (and for the record, you've provided zero suggestions in this thread) I think it starts with reasonably asking questions about whose interests those leaders are serving.

This isn't about me, it's about young people who just endured one of the worst imaginable scenarios demanding that those "leaders" have a reasonable discussion about taking some measures of action to curtail the gun epidemic in this country. No other country in the world has this problem -- that should embarrassing on every level. WHY is it such a horrific thing to suggest we figure out how to change that?

Yes, I see no need to post it again in this thread.
    Have a good day.

My most humble apologies for not wanting to dig through the OT board just to get your take on things. Frankly, I hate coming to the OT board, and increasingly, am hating coming to S2 in general. But this gun crap has gone on long enough, so I thought I'd wade over to see what folks were saying.

I mean I don’t care that they are doing this, whatever. At the same time if you think all of these kids really give a shit, you’re fooling yourself. They don’t have to go to school and their excuse is a protest, of course they are gonna skip school and then act like they are passionate about this subject. I’m just saying don’t get fooled, a lot of these kids no next to nothing about shit.

The 5.56 and .270 rounds arent nearly as "powerful" as say a 300 win mag or 7mm rem mag which are great hunting rounds that pack a much bigger punch for taking down big game at further distances. So why the focus on AR-15?

Because liberal parroting cucks are crowd following cuck a doodle doos, that's why.

Way to keep it civil, and make it so people want to continue having a calm and rationale discussion with you. I for one am glad that you went out of your way to refrain from name calling and belittling the other side of the argument, as that gets us no where.

I usually read his posts as if they are completely laced with green font. Otherwise, it's just sad to think if he is actually being serious.

Why delete my post @slypokercuck? Thought we were all about free speech? I asked a serious question that needed to be addressed.

The fellow comes in and rails much but will not be specific when directly invited, he would fit your team Sly. I see you liked it much.
May I suggest you adopt this image for you avatar, it fits the style more appropriately.

Yeah, SlyPokerPoopHead! ANSWER THE ACCUSATION! WE NEED A PUBLIC HEARING FOR YOU!

(I was tempted to say "PUBIC" to be funny, but I think that would've been a little much, no?)

I think that would actually be a Pissing Ant, not a "Piss Ant".

Tho, that makes me wonder where that term was first coined.

Reading your post made me think about all of the different rounds that I have seen fired in an AR style rifle. It is funny that AR has become synonymous with that style of rifle, like getting a soda has become drinking a coke, or Pepsi depending on region.

Seems like almost all the guys I know have a 22 or 177 cal to plink with. They can burn through a box of ammo and not spend their kids collage money. I know guys that will stick to a specific round based upon what their hand guns shoot.

Usually the guys that use a NATO round also have a small 22 or so, but keep the NATO as their "IN case" rifle, based upon the premise that NATO rounds will be available.

Those that want high powered stuff buy propose built stuff. Big and little Mags depending on knock down or damage by velocity.

Exactly right. I got my 5.56 because i wanted something where i could find ammo any where should something big happen, like operah becomming president and the US returning to the dark ages. I also got it out of fear they will be banned by idiots. I shoot mostly my winchester 700 in .270 though. Bolt action, 16x power scope, just more accurate and thus, more fun to me.

Uneducated liberals like to act like they know what they are talking about, but the stoner platform they find "scary" can be chambered from .22 to .50 cal. They have no clue what they are saying when they say "assault rifle" but they know they saw one one time and CNN says they are bad.
