If that's the case, then we agree. I was looking at your posts above about "waaay overrated" and stuff and just wanted to poke in. Prime Chandler and back-end-of-prime Marion were good on D, no doubt. And Caron had come from a supremely dysfunctional situation in WAS for the last couple of years before the trade, so I don't doubt that his team D stats may suffer (Flip wasn't Thibodeaux on D anyway, even if people like Jamison and Arenas and Stevenson were fired up for D, which they weren't).
He was talking as if he compared to Marion and Chandler, who were lockdown/great all-NBA defenders. Caron was decent, but no where close to Kidd (people forget just how good he was on that end), Marion, or Chandler.
You just admitted that you don't know shit about anything until after the fact. Thanks for proving my point that all your arguments are based off of hindsight and can be dismissed.
It also took me about a month to get through this long ass line for Mrs HCP. Good thing I figured out almost immediately where the end of the line was otherwise who knows when I would've gotten my turn.
Ahh, I see she didn't let you read the latest memo. Knowing what a figurative hard time you give rooks she now lets us literally give her a hard time as a way of getting back at you.
You amigo speak to me unlike any rookie before you....... I am starting to like you. please keep this between us.
Rockets took care of the Nuggets last night but the Spurs got a HUGE win @ Cleveland. That is big win for them and probably unexpected.
Updated standings: #3 - Wolves: 38-26, next @ Blazers #4 - Spurs: 36-25, next vs Pels #5 - Blazers: 35-26, next vs Wolves #6 - Pelicans: 34-26, next @ Spurs #7 - Thunder: 35-27, next @ Mavs The Nuggets with 2 losses fell from tied for 5th to 9th. Spurs had a big win at Cavs that was projected to be a Loss. Single games like that could easily make the difference in such a tight race. Portland will need to win all the games they should and win a few they aren't favored in to get HCA. Either that, or rely on teams to lose games they are expected to win. Any games against the bottom 10 teams in the standings are almost automatic wins as those teams seem to be tanking and their only wins are against each other. MUST win for Portland against the Wolves. Thibs was in the stands last night likely devising how to get the ball out of Dame's hands. Teammates are going to have to step up.
FYI--Pels are only 34-26 right now. Kinda pulling for both the Pelicans and Thunder to win tonight. Then if the Blazers win tomorrow, all 5 of these teams will be within a game of one another.
Half a game behind #4, 1.5 behind Minny for #3 (I was high on Minny since before the season, FWIW). We're not going to do better than #3 - I think it's almost mathematically impossible. 4 game winning streak, including one against the 2nd seed Warriors. Go Blazers!
