Interesting shot of Collins and one of our veteran players (either ET or Ed) during a timeout in the 4th quarter as they were walking on/off the court against OKC. I wish there was audio because it kind of looked like Collins was pointing something out while the vet listened carefully and kept nodding his head. I could be making nothing into something here, but regardless of what was being said it sure seemed clear that the rookie had already earned his teammate's respect. The kids seems to have a high BBIQ and will no doubt be yet another good leader on this team.
They’re both white. That’s where their similarities end. Collins is a better athlete and basketball player. Leonard looks better on instagram.
One of the reasons I like him, despite is very low PER, and other low stats is from a Lillard rookie video. Kobe's voice comes in for a short time: "the skills, the patience, the intelligence.... he's the real deal." I see the same from Collins. I also think of him as similar to Aldridge and Durant - not skills-wise, but body-not-ready-wise. They came into the league from a coach at Texas that didn't have them lift weights. As a consequence, Durant started in the league as a SHOOTING guard, even though it clearly was not his best position. A weakling as the only player at the combine who couldn't lift 185 even once (a certain pg was able to lift it in the teens number of times). I see that weakness in Collins, too. He'll fill out and get his body where it needs to be, but he's not there yet, he's getting pushed around. It'll take a while because he's burning thousands of extra calories each day, so it's hard to put on muscle under those circumstances. The skills are there already. His mind will get there. His body will get there. One tell-tale sign for me is FT%. When he starts shooting his college FT% in the pros, it'll mean he's starting to get comfortable. He's not there yet.
We lost a lot of games when Chief was out...I don't see the benefit..he's by far our best defender....
A lot of games is what I said....who knows...maybe we'd have been 13-0 with him....and I don't need to check real gm or whatever ....there are plenty of those folks around here that love to crunch numbers....I just watch the games....and like to give a shout out to Chief when people complain about him....I've followed Vonleh's games in Chicago too.....he's been ok off the bench...he's not Chief....he's not starting and they're not a very good team
You can't admit you were wrong? How is almost a .700 winning percentage "losing a lot of games"? Doesn't mean Aminu doesn't have any value to the team.
Absolutely! The coaches look at Meyers and then feel more of an urge to play Zach because he is NOT Meyers. Meyers inability enables Zach time.
what part of "who knows" is confusing you.....I knew some stat geek would show up with a stat though....
We had a winning percentage of 69% with Aminu out and Vonleh starting. That’s a lot of games to you? Could’ve just gone the easy route and admitted you were wrong instead of being condescending. But hey, whatever works for you!!
Okay, so we might've won more game with Aminu. Who knows. I still fail to see how we "lost a lot of games" without him. Yeah, a "stat geek" would find a stat. A lot of people like to bring facts to the table, or check to make sure what they're saying is credible. It's what makes this board great, compared to other forums that spew illogical opinions that aren't based on fact (ex. Clutchfans).
Lol he said "We were 9-4" and you said "I said we've lost a lot of games" as if that statement applies to a 9-4 record.
That's how you read my post? ok.....I apologize if I think we're better with Aminu then we were with Noah.....I still think that Chief has more impact....it's all good...I'm not going to argue about it though
