Joshua 24:15 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. It appears not making a choice is making a choice.
Are you saying you are not a slave? Try quitting your job and living free, report back on slavery. You obey your master, you dont have a police record. Good job!
Try disobeying your master at work and see what happens. Slaves of old got room and board as payment. They were forced to stay. Today's slaves work willfully for their god, money.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (Shout out to tv evangelists and faith healers)
Seems like survival was outright luck. Especially when you have those extinction events that take out 99%+ of all species. It's not a Evolutionary process to eliminate most (surviving) species' predators from the environment. Of course, after the fallout of the event, Evolution picks up from what's left. My point is that Evolution doesn't fully explain how species evolved from single cell to Man. It gets a little stranger when you consider that Man has intelligence and selects species for things that defeats Evolution. Like we breed tomatoes for size, which makes them attractive to prey (us). I'm not denying Evolution in the least. All the processes ascribed to it are very real and should not be denied.
It could be argued that Tomatoes have won the evolution game. Even though they are breed for unnecessary characteristics their survival and propagation is assured due to their deliciousness. If people go extinct that could make times tough for the tomato, but I think they will survive.
You sign a contract when hired. You agree to provide services for money. Money is your master. You cant live without your master. Remember when master took your kids obamacare? You protested, but master said no. And you kept on workin. We all serve something. Today's popular god is money, i think self is a close second, maybe even more prevalent.
I would say the point of life is not survival, its surviving long enough to pass your genes to the next generation for continued species survival. We all die, some are eaten, others are not.
"“Many seeds, including tomatoes, have an impermeable outer layer that protects the seed and allows the delicate embryo to survive the trip through an animal’s digestive system,” said Kerry Barringer, curator of the herbarium at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden." http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/27/science/how-can-plant-seeds-survive-the-digestive-process.html
Aren't you currently unemployed? So how is it being a free man? You aren't planning to go back to slavery, are you? barfo

I believe that both creationism and science can both be rectified. This debate of one or the other seems a bit confining to me. That the Earth has proved the perfect petri dish for Humans, for life seems a little to random and coincidental. At the same time just because the Earth supports life as we know it, doesn't mean that other planets with hostile atmospheres arent perfect for other forms life we have not even yet thought of or have only began to theorize about. It makes one hell of a conversation doesn't it?
