They are tied in the "games behind" stat which doesn't prove me wrong at all because that stat has no bearing on ranking. It is always ranked by %. Like my example, % is not a "tiebreaker" as you claim. You can be a half game BACK and still be in first place. You still don't seem to get that. It is you that are wrong. Look at my example closely.

That example is fucking stupid because all the teams play the same amount of games in the end.

There has to be a way of ranking teams at any point in the season and that way is by PERCENTAGE... NOT by fucking GAMES BACK. So the Clippers, Jazz, and Nuggets may all be the same GAMES BACK but that is NOT how you rank teams. You rank them BY PERCENTAGE. You can be a game BACK of a team and STILL be ranked higher than them by PERCENTAGE. Just admit you've learned something new and move on.

no tiebreaker needed, except if you're talking about the tie at 9th between Utah and Denver, both at .538
The Clippers are in sole possession of the 8th seed (again, no tie breaker needed) at .540

Let's give you an extreme exemple. If you have a team at 15-5 (winning 75% of their games) and a team at 20-10 (winning 67% of their game), they would both be 10 games behind a potential team at 30-0, but one has a clear better record than the other.

There you go. My example is a more realistic example which went WAY over his head. But you're making the same point too.

Maybe, but only because he's an "asset", not necessarily because the team plays better with him. I think they clearly don't.

Re: tie-breakers and games back... The loss column is all that matters for good teams (and the win column for bad teams). You can make up wins, but you can't make up losses.

Sure, use an example that could never happen.

If you look at the standings page those teams would be tied. The 75% team would be ahead because they have a better win percentage but they are still tied in the standings. I've said in every one of my posts that the Clippers are the 8th seed.

Ughhhhhhh, they haven't played the same amount of games. When they do the team with the better win percentage does get the higher seed because they have a better record.

It didn't go over my head, it is irrelevant because teams play the same amount of games. Your example had teams with different games back and different games played. The real life example has equal games back, not the same thing.

Jaylen Brown had a scary fall onto the back of his neck after he dunked in the game tonight.
Looked like it knocked him out.
He was allowed to walk off under his own power after a good amount of stoppage.

Traumatic injuries are the worst part of watching professional sports and I know we can all agree on that!
