That's an unbiased national source. Said he doesn't expect it to happen but...

It is possible. Through sign and trade or LeBron doing a CP3 type of opt-in-and-trade. (I don't think HOU has the assets to even get CLE to agree to one, and I don't think they can shed enough salary.)

I think we should try. Fuck it, why not.

Do you guys think we could even get a meeting with him? We have a lot to offer IMO.

The only way he comes here is if he signs for MLE, which he would never do.

As of right now I don't think Portland would get a meeting with LeBron.
The only thing you can say though.
LBJ joining Portland means he wouldn't have to wait until his team is facing elimination before his starting PG shows up.
Lillard has always shown up for the playoffs.

Portland would need to push GSW hard, to get a chance @ lbj

Also, ef that. Not giving up Lillard, CJ, or Nurk if LBJ says he's leaving and he'll go to Portland.

LeBron isn't going anywhere where there are other ball dominant guards. Portland has two of them so that makes it even more remote. A place like LA makes more sense because there are a ton of 3-pt shooters and Ball is a very willing passer that has been improving his shot and isn't a small guard. The idea is fun to think about but Portland doesn't have the money or the type of team that would seem to fit.

We have a better shot at Love if LBJ leaves. I prey Zach and a couple firsts would get it done, they would have to take one of the pukes contracts too, but 2 years ain’t that bad for a rebuilding team, esp with 2 firsts.

I disagree. Dame and CJ have shown to be able to play just as well off the ball as on. LeBron attacking with those two on the wings would be perfect, and Bucher said as much. Portland is the Best fit because it's ball-dominant guards are able and willing to play off the ball. Harden and Paul are meh in that regard. Lonzo? Probably not. We have better shooting than the Lakers, amd Lonzo is horrible of the ball. They have ball dominant players that struggle to play off the ball. (Ingram, Ball, Randle).

Us with LeBron is just as good as Houston with LeBron. We're a better fit.

Oh same, just interesting that a national writer would suggest us for LeBron.

We wouldn't even need to trade CJ to make it happen. Turner, Harkless, and a combination of 2 or 3 firsts would probably make sense for Cleveland. Or Harkless, Aminu, Leonard, filler, and picks. We have all our picks, and could even take back a bad contract with our TPE to add a pick somewhere along the line.

Basically, we wouldn't need cap space. Wed need to be under the tax to make a sign-and-trade happen but that's definitely possible.
