It would take Zach and 2 firsts if we are asking them to take Turner and Worthless Meyers.

Turner/Meyers(only 2 years of those guys and in the second they could be used in deals as expirings)/Zach/2(1st)

    For

    LBJ

I think they still say no.

Exactly. I do see their point in that the problem is definitely Cleveland wanting to be under the luxury tax. If Cleveland doesn't want to add salary, other teams with cap space/trade exceptions would definitely take Harkless and Aminu for free, and someone would take on Leonard's final 2 years for a 1st. That solves all issues.

They wouldn't have to take both.

I don’t think lbj will exactly just go where the most money is, like I’ve stated before he makes more off endorsements than nba salary, and those endorsements are better when he’s winning ships. The dude is worth 1/2 billion dollars, a few less mil a year ain’t shit plus the tax breaks in pdx more than make up for the hit he would take in Cali.

I bet we would still have to give up Zach and picks with turner.

I don't see how money not being a factor would work against us.

Im not saying it would be, I just think that at 33 lebron isn’t gonna try to squeeze every penny out of a team, especially if it hurts signing a bench player. The dude needs more rings not more money.

This is all a fantasy anyway, let’s talk about more realistic stuff like Kawhi coming here for scraps.

The only way we get on Lebrons radar is if we meet GS in second round and take them 7, maybe then we have a 15-20% chance at him, maybe

Turner is abysmal for the price, he might be a decent off the bench option for $6M a year.

Aminu is of course good, he is not the problem in this trade at all.

Thing is, if a team is below the tax line then maybe, just maybe they will be tempted by getting additional draft picks (although these will be very late first round picks when LeBron comes here, they are already late without him). However Cleveland are paying huge tax bills already and would pay even more if they took Turner and Leonard. They are MUCH better off just letting LeBron go for nothing and hitting a reset button.

Look at what Clippers got back in sign-and-trade for Paul. They got several fairly decent players on good contracts and short term deals which they will be able to offset quite soon if needed. This made sense. Any deal that doesn't include CJ that we could propose to Cleveland for LeBron won't, which means we would need to create cap space to sign him. We cannot.

I’m 100% cool with CJ leaving if LBJ is coming, I’ll take him to the airport.

Dame and CJ are terrific off the ball because they can shoot. Insert LeBron instead of Turner. Philly is a horrible fit. Simmons can't shoot.

Also LeBron won his three titles with "ball dominant" Wade and Kyrie.

Chris Paul and Harden are a horrible fit, right?

They'd be expensive and gone immediately but I'd try to get some too.

I disagree. CJ, Dame, and Nurk stay.

There's a higher chance we get LeBron than Kawhi.

There is another Kawhi in the draft, we would have to trade up to 10-13 to grab him though.
