Wow, you couldn't be more wrong about me if you tried. Never have I ever said that I approve of Trump doing it, nor do I support it when he does. In fact, I've been VERY clear that I DON'T support his use of social media at all. I don't believe ANY leader of a country should be using social media in any respect....that's your administration's job, not yours. Let your media folks handle it. What I DO, however, is belittle Liberals for blowing his comments on social media out of proportion, when there are so many other FAR more important things to worry about with him and politics in general. What I do is belittle Liberals for not having their priorities straight....bitching about his use of social media and their panic of some made-up war against women/gays/black people, instead of real issues like Tax Reform, healthcare, immigration, our national security, and the economy. And yeah, this has NOTHING to do with race, so it was silly of you to bring this up. I would say the exact same things about Trump and Turner if they were black, Asian, Hispanic, Dutch, Polynesian, Japanese........you get the point. Race has nothing to do with being a douche.

But if it's any consolation, GlockTalk isn't much better, but on the opposite side of the spectrum (Conservative verses the more Liberal S2). Yeah. A lot of players riding that boat. The likes of Mozgov, Biyombo, Anderson, Deng, Noah, Mahinmi basically got about $50M extra to their normal contracts just because they happened to expire in 2016. There's so much dross there. I don't like this interview at all. Of course it's not his fault he got the $17M a year contract in that stupid year but to pretend like he actually deserved it is another thing. He might have as well acknowledged the fact that he was lucky to become a free agent that year and like pretty much 95% of players that season received a much higher contract than he normally would have the year before or the year after.

I stopped talking about politics on here because 1) arguing rarely changes anyone's viewpoints on either side of the discussion and almost always leads to some form of personal insult, and 2) it wasn't worth losing friendships in game threads on this forum by arguing about politics. I come here for Blazers basketball, not politics or social issues. I had to make peace with myself and accept that there are just going to be people who disagree with one-another, and leave it at that. It's not worth losing sleep over and, for me, it's not worth being a cancerous poster on S2. My blood pressure is high enough as it is, lol. That's why I don't usually post in the OT anymore. The occasional thread about firearms issues notwithstanding, but even then my opinions are usually the minority, and thus not worth arguing with people about. I'm VERY excited about the Blazers winning streak! But I do admit to having some trepidation about facing a fully healthy contender. I think that Warriors game just before the All Star break was a fluke; or maybe the Warriors just mailed it in. They're missing 5 rotational players......Portland wouldn't win 18 games in a season if we were missing that many people. Can you imagine having to start Layman and Meyers for any extended period of time?! I'm eager to see how we deal with the remaining schedule.....we have some VERY tough games coming up. They will determine who we really are. Was this winning streak a fluke, or was it a legit sign that we are finally moving forward as a team? That remains to be seen. But I am optimistic. Especially with our Lord and Savior Damian Christ playing at MVP level.
The players love him and the coaches love him. They all say how important he is to the team on and off the court. It's the fans that are giving him grief over his play for the contract NO gave him. It's brutal during game threads even when he is locking down players. It's not all about stats. Anybody else notice how he has stepped up on both sides of the court during this stretch? Sounds like I need to follow him on Twitter though. I've missed the conversation that made him say those things. He doesn't seem like the kind of person that would lash out without a reason. Let's go get #10!
Some of the amateur accountants on here act like they are the ones writing checks. Turner is here whether you like his contract or not, he's a good defender and he's been playing well lately. Seems like an odd time for some dipshit to lay into him. 9 wins deep, two of which against the defending champs, and people still find a way to bitch. Evan is well liked by the team and chemistry is important. That "fan" needs his bitch ass boo'd out of the arena.

I personally read a comment where he made a remark to someone something very close to the effect of "I'm not a homewrecker; if I was, I'd cum on your mothers and sisters face and then leave". I read that, and I was like "......and why the hell are we paying you all this money?!" Could you even imagine Dame saying something like that to anyone; regardless of how annoying they were? Doctor Jack would rise from the dead and bitch slap him so hard that people in Oakland would cry! For someone that averages 10 points a game and makes $17 Million a year, I expected FAR better of Turner than garbage like that. I occasionally write smut in my free time. I don't have a problem with dirty words in the context of the appropriate adult humor among friends in the right setting, or some anonymous person writing it online in the appropriate venue, in the appropriate circumstance (IE: smut). That's not what I have an issue with. But when you are representing a professional sports team, which not only includes the community/city in which you play, but representing upstanding people like Dame, CJ, and Nurk, and you have an active Social Media account where everyone knows who you are......then you MUST hold yourself to a higher standard! And saying something like that about someone's MOTHER and SISTER.......that's WAAAYYY below the belt. That's just not appropriate in ANY setting. The guy is a dumbass, period. He's NOT worth his contract with that kind of attitude with the PPG he averages; I don't give a shit if he personally punches Draymond Green in the face. He is completely and totally worth criticism.
His social media game is on point. He comes off likeable to me. Him telling some fans to fuck off is hilarious because I know he’s mostly tongue in cheek. He talks to his teammates the same way if you see some of his instagram comments. I guess some people just don’t get his humor, which is fine, but take it for what it is.
So you hold public personalities to different standards because one represents a City and the other represents a country? I don't.
Okay. Go tell Dame that it's okay that one of his teammates talks to people like that openly on social media because he's not the president of a country. See what kind of response you get.
