The subject is not unknown to me. Sergei was a PhD Mathematics. But nothing exceptional in the group he joined.

Ok. I guess I missed what ever humor there is.

 

I’ll take the hit for a bad joke.

I’ll offer up a better joke in exchange

Bernard was living in Brooklyn and commuting to Manhattan daily. The commute was taking a toll on him so he switched to riding a bicycle only to get flats and be cursed at. So Bernard decided to trade his bike in for a camel. For two months he commuted on the camel, into Manhattan in the morning, he’d tie up the camel and after work untie the camel and rerun to Brooklyn.

It was wonderful to be out of the car and off of the bike till one day after work Bernard realized his camel had been stolen. He goes to the police station to report the theft. After a good laugh Officer Johnson decides to take a report. He asks “was the camel one hump or two?”

Bernard “I don’t know, it was a camel, I didn’t look at it, I rode it!”

Officer Johnson “Was it long haired or short haired?”

Bernard “I don’t know, it was a camel, I didn’t look at it, I rode it!”

Officer “ did it have a long tail or a short tail?”

Bernard “I don’t know, it was a camel, I didn’t look at it, I rode it!”

Was it “Male or Female?”

Bernard “Oh, it was definitely Male”

Officer “you don’t know the humps, the hair or the tail, you say you never look, how do you know it’s a male?”

Bernard “Every time I get on the camel I hear everyone around me say ‘look at the schmuck on that camel’”







For those that don’t know, in Yiddish Schmuck also means penis.

 

My Yiddish is not so good. It is sort of implied in your joke I guess. But I sort of thought it meant jerk, perhaps dumb ass, in a Yiddish sort of way.

Better than the 1st joke though.
