The idiom "have a say" doesn't mean have an opinion. It means have influence. How do you have influence over the government? It is possible without voting - for instance you could donate to political causes, or protest, or work for candidates, etc. What do you do? barfo
You are jumping around. I am simply saying there are reason to support that extend beyond putting money in the wallets of special families. I’m not saying it’s right. But I am saying if you don’t vote it will NEVER change.
Yeaaaaaahhhh and you wonder why i can't talk to some people on here. One dude called me a fool today, another an idiot. For having a different opinion. Go figure. Jeez
Try looking up the word and read the content you're posting. Then you might get the connection. Or not.
I am not at that age where all that matters to me is politics and all I do is sit and watch CNN or Fox. I have a life to live, I have things to worry about. When there is something worth fighting for, I fight for it. However I don't tend to agree with those who protested the other day so as of right now, I am more focused on my life. At the same time I am smart enough to know what a lost cause looks like when trying to fight against it because there are people in huge places of power with billions and guess what? it wont matter how much you vote or how much you voice. Choose your battles wisely
You and I both know he wasn't calling Trump that but I am glad you wanna give him the benefit of the doubt. Bias...
He actually could be telling the truth. Good thing because that means he never insulted you in the thread...oh, wait....
Back a while ago in Oregon there was a measure, Measure 9 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_Ballot_Measure_9_(1992)) and the measure looked like it would pass even though it equated being gay with beastiality. I marched, I made phone calls. I licked envelopes. And I voted. And I convinced others to vote. And there were many more like me and we killed the bill even though it was well funded and at one point had nearly 60% approval. The votes fucking worked.
Man I don't understand the people who believe one vote will change the world as we know it. This country is a divisive and terribly flawed one under this two party system. I will never want a Republican or Democrat to get into office if the pattern continues. Unfortunately this country is so hung up on this system, it's almost always gonna swing Democrat or Republican so to sit here and say my one vote will matter is a bit outrageous and for dude on here to tell me I can't even speak about things if I don't vote, that's just crazy.
Right which is why I find it crazy Sly believes him but I am the bad guy around here so it's whatever I get it
Right because you believed in that. That was something you were passionate about. There hasn't been anything I can recall that I have been passionate about when it comes to this stuff.
Well, I honestly can see how he might be telling the truth. Sly can't prove he was lying about that. However, it is like the cops charging you with robbing a neighbor and you saying No I did NOT, I robbed a guy across town. Cupjizier hates my analogies if he is still reading. Haha
