I think most of you know how pro military I am. I have to read between the lines here. A general discharge is one step up from a dishonorable discharge. The guy was a problem while in the service, so they booted his ass out. Guy was doing drugs while in the service to the point that he was caught. So , not a casual user concerned about passing a piss test.
I have zero respect for those that would put others at risk.
Gets out over 15 years ago and works his way up to messing with serious weight..no, this is not a passing fancy or an innocent mistake. This guy is for real. P{lay stupid games, win stupid prizes. This shit is on him.

    You don't have a clue.

When has prohibition worked in your lifetime?

The stupidity about your post is that it's amazingly shortsighted.

How far away from Escobar does he have to be? Just sells pot? Owns a pharmacy?

My whole point is that “exactly like Escobar” is a ridiculous comparison. Is someone who spits on a Jew “exactly the same as Hitler”? I’d say no. That doesn’t mean he isn’t still a terrible person. It doesn’t mean that the man who got caught handing off 2 pounds of cocaine doesn’t deserve jail or isn’t also a bad personality, but to find the equivalence to Escobar is silly.

Ha! You know, your are about a rude as a fucking @SlyPokerDog .
    With insults to boot!.

I did not say a damn word about prohibition. We don't need a law against what ever shit you want to take. Hell, we never had a law saying you can't eat arsenic, nor do we need one any more than we need a law against crack.

But now if you sell the shit, I want your ass is the slammer or deported, depending on your status.

To put it another way, when one uses terms that require specificity like “exactly the same” then the details matter. When those terms are used and the details are extremely different (murdered 5000 people vs didn’t) then the statement loses all credibility and becomes ridiculous.

I think it was an overstatement but not ridiculous. One could defend holding people accountable for participating in something that kills people. I'd say a better comparison would be murder.

This guy is like a road rager that caused an accident and killed someone but not on purpose. In this comparison Escobar is Jeffrey Dahmer.

Ah well then, you may have your distinction. Since the distinction has zero effect, all is well!:smiley-beerchug:

There's a law it's called PCS. Possession of a Controlled Substance. That's illegal and should be decriminalized.

And I'm rude to you within forum rules because I don't really like you. :dunno:

LOL, do you realize that during the height of the Vietnam war more than half our troops smoked weed? My God man, it was everywhere in Vietnam. It's not even against State law in several States. I got two security clearances after admitting smoking weed, one was from the NSA.

All good and bad may be on a continuum but that doesn’t doesn’t mean equivalency.

We have a language that’s pretty damned good at conveying what one means. Maris is no dummy, he knows very well that he is stretching claims to provoke. Well, he stretched so far that the claim became ridiculous.

I would be ok with that. Replace it with one that really hammers your door shut if you are caught selling the shit or have quantities too great for personal use.
And just like guns, caught with the shit within the drug free zone of a school.

It is a matter of character type of where your judgement is rooted. You obvioulsy feel the big drug lord is way more the evil force. No comparison or a ridiculous comparison.

I can not speak for Maris, just myself and I agree with Maris' choice of words. Once you cross the line into the dealing felony activity, it is all the same, I have no need to care about scale.

Well good. Except They let them loose, to do it again. Once you cross the line do what can really harm children before they can learn to protect themselves, there is no recovery. The flaw can and will be repeated.
