Despite what happened early this season, and how it will end. This years team crept close to the franchise record for wins in a row. What an incredible amount of growth over the past two years for this young squad. We’ve got a tricky FA situation this summer, but I have faith that Olshey will work it out and keep this team on its upward trajectory. We have 2 stars in their prime, and a star who is learning how to shine here. What a great time to be a Trail Blazer fan... For the young and old, everyone should be enjoying what they have seen from the team recently. In professional sports anything is possible, and the next thing you know the team you live for hits a go ahead 3 with 0.9 seconds left. What memories will this season hold?
Closest we've been to contending since 2000. Since then, we've only had HCA in one playoff series (2009). 3 seeds win championships in this league. In fact, the last time we were a 3 seed was 2000 when were minutes away from reaching the NBA Finals.
I'm all in this season...really starting to love the identity of this roster...it's the defense...we've needed top shelf defense for a long, long time....I think the roster before Wes went down was a contender...that was also a good defensive roster but injuries scrapped that team before they had a chance...Damian Lillard is a true leader with an obvious mission to bring a championship to Portland...we're really lucky to have the team we have right now....great thread Fonz...this forum needs more of these!
