Just saying that it seems like a better topic for the off-season. You know, when something can actually be done about the situation.
Yeah, well sometimes logic is lost and the primal parts of the brain rule. Many more games like last night and it's fifty-fifty as to whether I make it to the off-season or blow a blood vessel in my brain.
Yeah, we're not San Antonio, and they aren't us. Before we get too caught up in wanting to be more like the Spurs, please note the above standings. Paul Allen apparently has sold his soul to he devil, because in spite of having the greatest coach in the game, a far superior system, great balance and a much better bench, the Spurs are somehow, inexplicably three games behind us in the standings (and before you try to play the injury card, the table you presented showing their amazing depth and great bench already takes that into account). So, our coach is a moron, our system sucks and our bench is crap. Please don't tell anyone, or the league may have to take away a few of our wins and award them to more worthy teams with better coaches. BNM
I don't think it's just Turner, I think it's the small forward position in general. Until Moe finally pulled his head out of his ass, the shittiness of our small forward rotation was widely acknowledged as this team's biggest weakness. The table above does nothing to refute that claim. Hopefully, when Moe comes back he will be post all star game Motivated Moe, not the No Show Mo that sleep walked through the first four months of the season, because with Motivated Moe, we are a VERY good team. BNM
I do in fact believe that Stotts deserves SOME kind of coaching award for turning Shabazz and Pat C. into half-decent contributors. And he pulled an even greater magic trick with Nurkic last season. He's also got more solid games out of of Mo the Mercurial than any other coach...
Control and self discipline can go a long ways and do wonders for stability, not only in oneself, but with what gets under your skin.... This thread is blah blah blah. Show me a bench that is as good as the starters on the same team? What are you wanting? What would you like to see? Instead of just bitching ( like in the OT), why not provide solutions to the problem you think we have? Instead of bitching about having as crap bench, how about something like... hey, we should target this person or so and so this off season to improve the bench. Here are our bench numbers. "X" player should help improve this. Your thread is like any other open ended, yet dead end thread. A bitchfest without answers. Don't come to me with a bitch fest unless you have an answer..... So this is just blah blah blah..... Like most of the OT....
Inexplicably? Hardly! We simply have a better roster than they do. We've all seen first hand how a team performs with LA as the best player - for us it was the lotto. To Pops' credit, he got them into the Playoffs.
The Blazers still need an upgrade at the SF position, 6th man and the bench if they ever want to be true championship contenders. Hopefully that can happen this summer but probably not due to the late seccses in a small market. Paul and Neil probably want to keep this group together with minor changes.
Are you under the impression our bench should be as good as our starters? That's who you compared them to, or do you not remember? How about comparing our bench to other benches before you blow a gasket. And not just one bench. Most benches....
