and what does Trump do? He gives huge tax cuts to the corporations while handing out peanuts to the regular people which is being taken away by tariffs that will increase the cost of goods and gas prices that are skyrocketing. What little we gained through a small tax break is being taken out the other side.

Hey, in the Fox News thread I mentioned that CNN is bogus too and got attacked for deflecting from Fox, the topic. Don't worry though, in your thread it will be all about Trump and what other corporations get away with.

as opposed to solely focusing on Amazon who everyone here agrees is gaming the system? If thats the case then thread over, no need to reply at all. I think the point most are making is that its a system failure not an Amazon failure. This has been pointed out with other companies that do the same thing, or we can just pretend that Amazon invented government assistance for its workers and then get all but hurt at the people who have other opinions and points that don't agree with yours..... That is Trumps America afterall.

A fun game is to look up how many fast food workers are on government assistance.

Bezos is actually owed money by the federal government due to his massive tax write-offs. That is considered owing a negative amount of taxes. I don't think any of our broke buddies owe negative x amount of dollars to the federal government. Good for them if they do, they're not broke anymore!

I think it's fair to point out the most egregious example first, which is what I did in starting this thread.

These titans like him and Trump and even Romney have tax shelters all over the place...they are in essence international corporations more than loyal nationalists....just changing currency they can tip the scales ....if you have billions..you can probably hire a pretty good tax lawyer and accounting firm...very few major corporations are answering to any government collection agency I'd guess. It's never been fair....teaching overseas I got a 72 thousand a year tax break....teaching in Hawaii I got no tax break.

You just made the exact same point I was making about CNN and Fox. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. These TDS sufferers are the first thing I've seen in my lifetime that rivals the OJ trial.

If Twitter was around during OJ's trial I may have had to end my life or move to a cabin in the woods.

Sorry, but I did not find the fellow in the video funny. Just rather good and embelishing a point without any truth behind it.

I brought up CNN which is just as bad, maybe more or less depending on your criteria for judging and it was deflecting.

I LOVE Amazon but it is like loving Pizza or beer. Not good for our health.

I did see they're adding 1000 jobs in North Las Vegas. Shitty jobs I suppose.

I tried to bring up what I remember to be a US postal service deal with China that is fucking over American companies but nobody cared cuz Trump didn't do it.

I never discounted your point in the other thread, I only mocked the example used for the reasons it was used. A good point is supported by good examples. I'm sorry that is still effecting your life in such a negative way.

By what standard is this the most egregious example? Trumps standard?

Except for the libritarians here I believe most everyone agrees Amazon should pay a more reasonable tax.

Now that we are on the same page, how do we get that done? It’s not by targeting Amazon but by taking out so many of the corporate loopholes or establishing a basement tax level that no Corp can go under.

The reason for the push back in this thread from many isn’t that they believe Amazon is pure as snow or that their tax level is perfect. It’s that the only reason for highlighting Amazon is because Trump hates Bezos and his newspaper. That’s a sleazy thing. Presidents aren’t supposed to pick on American companies. It’s rarely done and usually only when they are caught doing something illegal. Not as a way to degrade the free press.

But I’d be all for Amazon and all Corporations paying some established minimum of 15% or something like that.

If I hate my neighbor and turn him in for domestic violence knowing my other neighbor does it too that doesn't make me a saint but at least I did something positive.

It had no impact on my life other than pointing out more hypocrisy from the TDS sufferers and I wasn't speaking about you anyway. I was speaking of the thread cup....I mean thread cop.

Amazon needs to pay just like Walmart or any other corporation needs to pay their fair share. Duh
