Spurs or Jazz could end up with our seed or miss out on the playoffs entirely, I know how I want the spurs to end up....
Considering they went All-In this summer that would be so fantastic if they miss the playoffs. I'm torn though because Denver and Minnesota also made big moves so I would find it funny if they didn't make it either after being so hyped up. I'd also laugh if Aldridge and the Spurs went home.
It's amazing. Just about every team in the West has the tiebreaker over the Thunder, lol. How are they even in the running?
Unfortunately, it can just be one of these teams as the Clippers have been eliminated. I want Denver to make it because it would be so sweet (in this order) if Thunder, San Antonio, or Minnesota missed out.
So from what I can tell, if New Orleans loses tonight we'll have wrapped up home court advantage thanks to tie-breakers against SA and OKC, right? That's really all I care about. If we're 4th instead of 3rd I'll live. Just want to be as healthy as possible.
That loss against Dallas still makes me sick. Then we came from 100 down against the Rockets to lose on free throws ... These last 3 days have been sick.
I agree but I don't want to lose against Denver. Unless we win tonight and Utah loses tomorrow. Then I don't care about the game in Denver. Layman should start in that one.
I'm sick of all this Spurs love. It took Ginobli having a once a paycheck performance and CJ and Chief going missing again for that win to happen. If Manu puts 3 of those performances together I might change my mind, but unless Kawhi is 100 % healthy, and comes back in the right frame of mind, the Spurs aren't winning a playoff series.
I think this is the last hurrah for the Spurs. Next season Manu and Tony are retiring. I am sure pop is right behind him. He looks like a geriatric out there. Leonard will be traded. One of their assistant coaches will be promoted and they will rebuild.
Such a short time ago, it seemed like the #3 seed was almost a foregone conclusion and HCA wasn't an issue. Now it comes down to 1 game and they could end up being #5 having to face the possibility of playing the Spurs without HCA and potentially losing to LaMarsha. That is almost too much to take.
If SA loses, just before we tip off, will we rest our starters? For an ESPN game? Probably not, but we should. I'm guessing SA will win so hopefully it is moot. If SA wins, then FOR UTAH, does the game only mean the winner gets Pelicans? I'm wondering how motivated they will be. I wish this was like the old days with Drexler and Malone, where the Utah/Portland home team always won.
